Stormy: Good for you for getting the help you needed.
Now I'm worried how many other CPAPtalk folks are out there sitting on ticking time bombs while downplaying ominous symptoms... and I'm not just talking about DVT

How wonderful is this forum where one not only gets good sleep information but actual lifesaving help? Wow!
In a strange irony, I watched an "All In The Family" rerun last night and it was the episode in which Edith was busy helping Archie prepare for St. Patrick's Day at his bar only to be told by Dr. Shapiro that she had phlebitis and must get to the krankenhaus immediately. Aside from President Nixon's problem with it 40 years ago I'd never known about it "up close" until Stormy's problem.
God bless and good luck!

I already had clots in my right lung. They put an umbrella filter today. They are going to bust up the clots Monday.

Got a friend who has been through this very thing a few months ago. Once you recover a bit we'll probably see you on here quite a bit. His boredom from inactivity had him posting anything and everything on facebook. Hope your crisis phase passes soon and you can get on with the bored phase and headed toward recovery.

Geez in your LUNG already??? It's amazing you had the energy to post! Glad you got help as fast as you did.
We've lost forum members and sometimes we know what happened, and other times, they just never post again, and we can only speculate as to what's happened.
Thanks for keeping us posted. You rest and recover. Glad you got help fast.
Hugs,
B.

Incredibly grateful that you write how it goes, it is appreciated. I was one of those who wrote to you first half hour and wanted you to go quickly to the hospital. Tears have flowed down my cheeks when I think that maybe I was one among several to save your life. I hope it goes well for you and that you will soon be well again.

The Internet is a lousy place to seek urgent medical advice in most cases, but I'm glad that in this case you quickly understood how serious this could be and sought immediate attention.
Now what about your doctor's office? In one post you said you had an appointment for later, but the person who made that appointment didn't seem to recognize that this was and ER type issue, not a "we'll squeeze you in later today" issue.
