On the PR S1 760 machine (BIPap Auto).....Setting of 4 cm EPAP with PS minimum and maximum set to 0 with IPAP max of 20 will work like apap mode with minimum 4 and maximum of 20 .
If you use EPAP of 4...that probably will not be enough starting pressure to do a good job of holding the airway open.
So if your AHI is still quite high and predominately obstructive apneas or hyponeas then you will likely need a higher EPAP starting point.
If your AHI is predominately Clear Airway...we get to have a different discussion but chances are it won't be an issue.
I have a copy of the provider/clinical manual for the 760 machine but I need your private email address so that I can send it as an attachment.
So send me a private message requesting the manual for the 760 and include your private email address and I will get it to you.
