If you don't already use mask liners, I highly recommend them. Instead of something clinging to your face, it just feels like a nice soft cloth.

I saw a post somewhere about using aroma therapy oils/scents in the humidifier so I thought I'd try that to see if it affected the odor issue. The wife had some lavender oil and she's allergic to it so It's all mine. One drop in the humidifier and 2 nights later don't smell the lavender and the other odor is much less too. Might just be outgassing all my equip was brand new. The APAP has just over 70 hours on it now.

I'm considering trying the scented oils, though you shouldn't put it in the humidifier tank. Put a few drops on a cotton ball or something similar and place it near the filters on the back of the machine where it takes in air. This is what I plan on doing.

My lavender oil is 2 drops on a flower-shaped, die-cut piece of craft wood,
wedged into a vane on a salvaged copper heat sink out of an old laptop.
The odd little contraption stands behind my air intake.

Ever try Eucalyptus oil? I think I will.

Do NOT put it in the humidifier - ever!

Put some in a small bowl in front of the air intake.

When I got my new machine back in the winter it took about a week before it stopped smelling like "new toys at christmas" which is basically outgassing.

I really wanted to like the padacheek mask liners, but I just could not get them to work for me. I tried them on two different masks. I'm glad they work for a lot of people.
