There once was a man from Nantucket
Who slept with his head in a bucket
The snores from this man
Could drown out a rock band......!

O.K. I ran out.......can't find a good line.........anybody?????

More Nantucket lines

Gidgie - How about...
His wife threw a shoe but he ducked it (Sorry, best I could come up with)

Another limerick -
There once was a man from Nantucket
Who packed up his cpap and said "chuck it"
I'm sick of this thing
What good does it bring
I fear he could soon kick the bucket

(Just dawned on me that some phrases common in my circles might not be universal. Is "chuck it" synonymous with throwing away and "kicked the bucket" synonymous with dying everywhere?)

And for those with compund sleep disorders in addition to sleep apnea...

Sleep eating due to medication:

There once was a gal from Nantucket
Had her head hung over a bucket
What she ate in her sleep
Was too much to keep
Now she's about to upchuck it

Restless Legs Syndrome:

There once was a gal from Nantucket
Whose small car seat was a bucket
It would behoove
Her to have room to move
For she simply cannot just tuck it

Periodic Limb Movement:

There once was a gal from Nantucket
Who like a wild horse she would buck it
She raised from the bed
Her legs flailed overhead
Her kitty has learned how to duck it

Excessive Daytime Sleepiness:

A gardening gal from Nantucket
Smelled a flower and started to pluck it
But she fell fast asleep
Asleep so very deep
Sitting there on her upturned bucket

Ok, I've officially tapped out my Nantucket rhymes unless you, Bookbear, have a resource for rhymes that we haven't yet used. It's been fun.

Heeheehee...all great fun and good efforts....gold stars all round!

The Nantuckett limericks I learned in my mis-spent youth are not at all suitable for the gentle ears of most readers!

Great stuff, Kathy.......y'r' a genius! I'll put my brain to work while the rest of me is doing some yard york, at least for a while.......

While the sun is still shinin'
I must put my time in.
If I'll not be found shirkin'
I'd better get workin'........

I just can't help myself -- these are just too good to have in "storage" they must be brought back out into the open for those newcomers among us to enjoy and relish!!
