That is the real dilemma isn't it?

Howdy All,
Sorry this happened. Thank you for your courtesy and restraint. Fedex reship + "sorry about that!" email inbound.
Your phone number on file wasn't reachable. Can you please update this via My Account?
The rate at which carriers lose packages was something I wouldn't have expected or believed before I saw it for myself. Everyone has a favorite carrier but verily, verily I say unto you, none are without sin.
Here are some secrets you can use to work the CPAP.com system (oh no...we're a system to be worked now...how did we get here!?!):
1. If you do not enter a comment, have an rx on file and use a credit card to purchase an order over $100 it is going to auto process and be picked, packed and shipped in 20-40 minutes. There are some other exceptions, but in general if you don't care about method and want it shipped crazy fast, you can totally make that happen.
2. If you do not like US Mail, you can write in the comments "Please do not ship US Mail" and we will ship it Fedex. The thing is, if you write a comment, on of our reps must read and react to it before it can be made ready for shipment. It can take several hours for an order with comments to be reviewed and processed to be shipped. We are still going to get everything ground out by 4:00 PM CST daily, so there's some wiggle, but be aware that in some cases on ground orders slippage is possible, though unlikely.
3. You can go the other way. If you do not like Fedex, you can request US Mail.
4. Please be kind and don't ask for UPS unless you absolutely must. We'll do it because we love you and are thankful for your business, but please don't do it.
((Edit: Please note that there is a difference between shipping an order out the same day it is placed and a next day delivery service. We try hard to ship every order out we receive that has payment, prescription, etc, etc squared away same day but you still must pay for a next day air shipping method if you wish to ship that way. Over $99 will ship free to the continenial US. Details here:

And there's our final answer. It only took 1 day for Cpap.com to decide how to handle this.
Thank you, Cpap.com. This is why you are our supplier of choice.

Where I live UPS gives packages to USPS for delivery if it is a small package. I have found USPS to be more reliable. Maybe it just has to do with where you live.

NeedHelp2 wrote:I ordered a Quattro Air from cpap.com and they shipped it USPS First Class. Today, tracking shows delivery, but I didn't receive it. Cpap.com told me they will contact the post office and get back with me.
Did you ever speak with your mail carrier?
I received my recent order from cpap.com in 3 days shipped via USPS (TX to CT, that's not bad). The package was shipped with Delivery Confirmation, so an actual human had to scan it before she handed it to me.
Assuming your package was shipped the same way, I would have checked the time of the scan and spoken to the actual human letter carrier who left the package. Where did he/she leave it?
It's awful nice of cpap.com to send a replacement at their expense, but the fault seems to be with local post office. I assume cpap.com can file a claim for the lost package.

I surprised at how many seem to find the USPS significantly less reliable than the other well know carriers. From work we ship an awful lot of stuff from small stuff in envelopes to things requiring there own flatbed truck. Seems no matter who we use, the loss and damage rates are pretty much the same. It's quite remarkable how fast you can now get things shipped to virtually almost any place on the planet. It's also almost amazing how creative the carriers can get in damaging, or loosing items.
Kudos to CPAP.com for stepping in and helping the customer out.

Faagettttabout it. UPS is awful. I file some of my e-mails so my in-box isn't so cluttered. One file is UPS fiascos. In my opinion, they are the absolutely worst delivery service.
I like the fact that CPAP.com utilizes the USPS. They are super fast and come at pretty much the same time every day. It's definitely on the plus side for the company.
