Hi Offerocker.....just want you to know that you are not alone in dealing with PLMD (and in my case RLS as well) along with the Apnea.
I agree with you, it is hard to get someone to take it all together as a package, but if you can get the movement disorders doc to help, that will be a big relief to you. Don't expect that it will happen right away (unless you are very, very lucky!). They may have to try several different meds and/or combinations of meds to get something to work ....sounds like you are already taking mirapex, but it can rebound and also become less effective (at least in my case)
PLMD can drive one to absolute distraction....and if you are already tired and drained from the sleep apnea, it's a terrible combination.
I also have high cholesterol(genetic) and high blood pressure, but just recently had a really good (for me) cholesterol reading, I think because of the CPAP.
So just hang in there and keep on CPAPing and working on the PLMD.
