Yes, in high school I think it was. Had problems with it then and I wouldn't even think about it now.

There are 320 rods to a statutory mile.

I remember when they put the Kilometer signs along the roads trying to get us to convert. The only thing I ever remembered was 0 degrees Celsius was 32 degrees Fahrenheit.

Come to think of it, I suspect that all of these bizarre English units were created
by Math teachers for the express purpose of incorporating them into "word" problems.

Nope, we hate them. We'd much rather use the metric system.

I just wonder if OP got his humidifier working again and what he/she did to dry it out.
