Just to let others know as I saw the concerns about obtaining this internationally.
We found the manufacturer on
ebay. We choose a cms550fw (with bluetooth).

We sent some questions via
ebay and got quick answers - on how to order the one we wanted. They sent us the link to use for buying it (first one wouldn't work for us, they quickly sent us the correct one). They still had to tweak something to say it was ok for US after we ordered it before we could pay for it but again very quick (originally it said Australia but also all international areas).
This looks like it comes from the manufacturer in China.
They shipped that same day and gave us a tracking number so we could see it leave China, hit Los Angeles, then go across the US to us.
We ordered it 6/7 late at night and received it 6/15. Good condition and works well.

I was not able to find the 50D plus (recording)
oximeter, but it probably would show up sooner or later on the US Contec
ebay Store.

However, I was able to find it at Aliexpress.com for $36.00 plus free shipping. (It might take a few weeks - China post.)
Five or more people in the same city could get together and get an even better deal at $32.30 and free shipping.

DreamDiver - yes, not everything shows up in ebay that they sell but when I contacted the company thru ebay they gave me the link to buy what I wanted. They were even nice enough to make sure it was the wireless version and I was ordering the right thing. Oh, and yes I was probably emailing back and forth with people from China but their English was good. They handled everything so that in just a few hours it was on it's way to us (now I did it late PT and so likely it might have been their daytime hours).

I had a good experience purchasing my CMS-50F from the Chinese company. It arrived 7 days after I ordered it and cost me $95 total about a year ago. The little instruction booklet leaves a lot to be desired, which is why I wrote up a full instruction page. It covers how I dealt (successfully) with some snags and details that could have been better explained. See my signature line below for the full walk-through.

It must frost the walmarts of the world that savvy shoppers are undercutting even them and going directly to the manufacturer.

Yep. It's hard to find at near that $95price now, but if you go to
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid= ... &_from=R40
happily it's still available now at $98 -- way lower than the other quotes you see when you google for a CMS-50F and the only such low price I could find.

Papit - thanks for the set up in sleepyhead link. I will be working on that today.
I think ours was $112, so good price. We got the bluetooth model. Would have cost us over $150 to buy thru someone here in the U.S.

We got it quick, have used it for 3 nights with very good readings.
I am glad we had it as it showed a not good night on the loaner cpap so I am mucking with settings (I think hubby needs no autoflex, at least that is my first change).
But he is crying uncle after wearing it 3 nights (and asking for it for the last 2 nights), so since we have an SD card in now I said ok to a night off. I am going to try it on me just to see (I have not apnea symptoms and have not been told I have problems).
