Making this post sticky might actually be a very good thing.
You've got spirited debate and an ultimately favorable story ending.
Just a thought.

Fishy's Unlearned Lesson

So I'm sorry I used you guys to stir up a ruckus. But it was necessary to get a "fair shake" in my case. I did call them twice with no resolution. I truly did not know this cite was affiliated with cpap.com...but the fact that your responses caused such an uproar actually helped me get the resolution I deserved. So I am sorry to have touched a nerve and thank you for your caustic responses. They really helped.
As the clumsy attempt at an "analysis" by Mr. Fishy demonstrates, some people, like Mr. Fishy. lack the basic skills necessary for effective communication. They lack diplomacy and are unable to be assertive without being obnoxious. This puts them in a distinct disadvantage when it comes to correcting errors. They are unable to sense the level of authority of the person on the other end of a phone conversation or email exchange or even face-to-face in a store, and they are unaware of appropriate methods to escalate a problem up to a person possessing authority to make exceptions and/or correct errors.
Therefore, when they are fortunate enough to blunder themselves into receiving a correction, the only lesson they mistakenly learn is to engage in bad-mouthing , "stir up a ruckus" and then resort to gloating sarcasm over their perceived triumph.
The next time life hands them a problem to be solved, they will handle it in the same blundering way.
Nate

Wow, how long are you all going to keep piling on? Enough already.
Yes, perhaps Fishy could have handled things better but it was quite clear that he went though all the necessary steps in an attempt to resolve the issue and felt frustrated that no one was listening to what was a definite mistake by cpap.com. Not being familiar with cpap.com, he didn't realize that he could go all the way to the Goodmans.
I guess you all are perfect and have never done anything wrong in your life.

49er... all you are doing by defending this guy is validating him. Nate is absolutely correct, this is the way Mr Fishy handles all conflict, his philosophy is "DEFENCE is the only way to handle things". Some folks handle life in that way, there is nothing you can do to change that... maybe someday he will learn there are other softer ways to handle situations. A quiet discussion is way better than a big defence, nobody gets mad and feels the need to offer a bigger defence.

Just wanted to let everyone one know that CPAP.COM price-matched something I found online and not only that.....wait for it......but I also get FREE shipping since they got a 4th of July special going on. I totally saved on my order. They always come thru for me. I always remember the great cpap/health information I get from CPAPTALK.COM and the fact that I have been the healthiest I have ever been in my life because of the people here, so I always remember CPAP.COM first. I love them.
Love you too, CPAPTALK people!! Nobody's on my foe list.

A mistake was made on the order. Fishy threw a hissy fit instead of just discussing the matter with the owner. The mistake was corrected and an apology was made. Fishy continued his tantrum saying the only reason he got the refund was because he threw a fit. Fishy needs to act like an adult. Mistakes are made all the time. Insulting Carolyn after she made thing right is just acting like a spoiled brat.

I am a huge fan of cpap.com and this forum. I would have failed treatment without them.

I'm almost like you Stormy. I am a huge fan of both cpap.com and cpaptalk.com, I've not failed yet, but that is because of many other factors besides our host. Great people they are.
FattyMagoo, I thought that it went off the cliff when the first post was made. lol

Hmmm....was just thinking the same thing when I read this post. For sure he could have handled things in a much more mature manner. Hopefully, he learned something from this experience. Anyway... enough... how many times can you slap someone upside the head?

Slapping should continue until it gets through the wood and the gray matter misconnections are rewired. From what I read, we aren't near there, looks like the wood it way too thick for correction. Jim

I don't care how rude the OP was, there is no call for many of the equally repugnant responses in this thread.

No - there is no call for this post. There were no repugnant posts until we were all called liars.
