I just got quoted $1500 on the ResMed S9 Elite alone! %30 price difference, only weeks apart, I'm really wary of these suppliers now. I'd definitely rather buy online, but I can't get the ADP unless I go to a physical location
I am not so sure of that. You might be able to claim clinincalsleep.com because it is in Canada. But of course you then must pay up front.
Like I said used car sales people should get service awards compared to these people.

They need signed paperwork, and from what I saw, the process has to be initiated by the vendor. I spoke to one online retailer earlier today and that's what I was told. Might be wrong, but w/e, I'll just show up looking homeless and see how that goes.
I'm *really* shocked at how I've been treated by these dealers, I guess I expected more from a health care professional, rather than being seen as a means to cash in from insurance companies.

In fairness to the DME they've been pretty good, but I wish I had knew a little bit more about CPAP machines and the OHIP program before I bought everything. I'm definitely thankful for these forums and the education I've been able to obtain over the last few weeks. While I respect the prescription I've received, this idea that I shouldn't mess with the clinical menu or download my own data is kind of silly.
Anyway, I have no idea if my system would have included a basic mask. It may have been part of the deal, but we went straight to trying on different masks with the goal of getting a decent fit. My sleep doctor emphasized that it was important to try on a number of different masks. the concept of a basic mask doesn't seem to make sense. As to the $75 set up fee, that was for the SD card. The item was described as a "service" which i interpreted as some kind of a set-up charge since I assume the card comes with the machine.
If anyone in the Toronto area is interested in my DME send me a PM. Happy to help.
