Now this language has a couple of real advantages. One is that it has built in and verified routines for almost every statistical calculation known to man. The other, perhaps more interesting, is that it is free software. Yep, powerful statistics, great graphics, free software.
R is cool. I installed it a couple months ago, but am no expert (yet). Still use SPSS, SAS, backs of envelopes, fingers and toes... I'm convinced most of the great human intellectual acheivements were conceived and recorded on....
napkins.

My AHI is right at 1.5. 0.4 OA, Hypops pushing up my numbers as well. I agree that the software monitoring is reinforcement for treatment. But, I don't disect it night to night. I am mainly looking for long term trends. My long term trends are that SI, AHI, Events, Duration, Leaks are all decreasing. But, I keep getting better masks, as well. Been at this seven months now.

My untreated AHI is 29
My treated varies from 0.3 to 1.5 sometimes a little higher.
