I am standing by my reply to writergirl. I do not believe that I was in any way offensive, I believe that writergirl was rude to many of the posters who were trying to help the OP.

My ahi is 79 (possibly higher since REM was not observed during the diagnosis phase). I already had high blood pressure and had been receiving warnings from my doctor that I was at high risk of a stroke. I'm only 40. To me, a stroke is scarier than death. I don't want to be trapped in a body that doesn't work and have people take care of me. For somebody with an ahi over 100 and desats worse than mine, that has to be very serious and beyond the stroke warnings that I was getting.
