Nah, that's a Muncher.
It
loves being sick, and telling it that it ain't is the easiest way to drive it up a wall.

Oh, that's funny.
I just hate watching good people, that aren't familiar with all this, waste their time and efforts trying to help. It seems like there is always someone that gets sucked in and tries to help.

This guy is beyond anyone's expertise here and I hate to see our good people trying to get through to him. I think we have to give up the good fight and unsubscribe from all his threads. Throwing the F-Bomb around on a public forum is just one of the many problems we're having with him. I wonder if he has family who are aware of what he's doing to himself and who the surgeon is who did this surgery? Lots of questions to which we don't have the real answers. It makes me sad but I don't think we should be prolonging this. JMHO.

We all get in this life exactly what we deserve, and I can only surmise why you're in such misery.

I hope you didn't really mean this the way it came across. I find this very offensive.

I agree with you, Dori. The problem is SWA17 keeps posting, sometimes in other people's threads, until he gets someone to respond. The responder is usually someone NOT familiar with SWA17's previous behaviors.
I don't want to be that person that is constantly watching and saying "don't respond to him!!!" but unless someone does that, this is going to continue to happen.
What is the most distressing is that even if people begin to recognize SWA17, he'll just create another user name and keep on.
:::sigh::: one of the downsides to the internet. You can't control or prevent stuff like this.

You are saying that a child born with a horrible disease did something to cause it? Children that are dying in their mothers arms of starvation deserve it? Our vets coming home from fighting for our freedom with missing limbs deserve it? I am surely missing something. I can't believe anyone could really be that cold.

Stormy... I didn't take it as meaning that... In this situation I believe Tipi meant if swa17 is STUPID enough to try everything he or she reads and applies it as gospel and wont LISTEN to anything else some one advises... then swa17 deserves everything they get as a result. Same analogy if I said what goes around comes around... yes. A baby that has a horrible disease did nothing to deserve it and our vets coming home wounded did nothing to deserve it.... but someone as stupid at swa17 deserves everything they get..... she or he is a sick puppy...mentally!

Stormy, I agree with nanwilson and tipi on this one.
This is not a "good things happen to good people" and "bad things happen to bad people" type issue. Instead this is a problem that some people see that glass as half full and make FULL use of it instead of those that see their glass as half EMPTY and squander it.
I've posted as much. How we deal with life - not just in spite of the problems we face .. but BECAUSE of the problems we face - helps determine our own situation in life. I posted here before that many folks here face LOTS of serious issues. Rather than letting themselves be overwhelmed by those issues, they do their best and often take time to bring joy and help to others.
SWA17 complains that life is unfair. Who the hell said it would be fair? It never is. But some people would take that same situation and see how they can use their experience to help others. They would try to make the most of their situation. Hell, I understand far better than most people just how devastating sleep apnea (obstructive and central) can be. Not being able to get doctors to pay attention to my central sleep apnea led to uncontrolled and uncontrollable high blood pressure which PERMANENTLY damaged my kidneys. It almost certainly helped contribute to my weight gain and my Type 2 Diabetes that has left me insulin dependent. *I UNDERSTAND*. But I do NOT write and complain:
sickwithapnea17 wrote:why is everyone on this forum ... TELLING ME TO WAIT WHILE I GET ... BRAIN AND LIVER DAMAGE FROM SURGERY? WHAT ... IS YOUR PROBLEM?? I HOPE YOU ... DIE SOON FROM YOUR ... BAD POSTS
Nope. The point is that I, like most everyone here, attempts to turn my own personal problems into experience that helps the next person. I might not be able to change my own situation. But I certainly can try to help others. And by turning outward to help others, I soon realize that my own situation is not so all encompassing a problem. I've attempted (as has others) to show SWA17 that a more positive approach can and does make a difference. But SWA17 only seems to want a pity party. I'm not going to contribute to that. SWA17 is old enough to take responsibility for his/her situation. NO ONE ELSE can be responsible. SWA17 needs to step upto the plate. Accept responsibility for his/her situation and make a plan to change the situation. It takes time. It takes effort. It requires WORK.
Okay. 'Nuf said.

Cold? I don't view myself as cold. Either you have read these writers and disagree with them─and that's fine─or you haven't and choose to look askance at the seemingly unfairness of those that have everything, health, wealth, great personal relationships, and others, born into a life of misery, ill-health, poor relationships─and then there's the most of us who sit somewhere in between, and I thank God for all the manifold blessings that I have─or you can attempt to find the answers to your questions. All of the sadness that you mention, I too have questioned, and to me, the answers are all there, but I have neither the time nor inclination to teach them to you, but you can find them if you wish, or you can just sit back and think how God can be so unjust.
Now, madam, I am not one to tell you what to do, but for me, I don't resort to name calling, as it is only a reflection upon self, and that will not in any way affect the people I might call names.

This thread has really gone down the tubes since I last read it. Makes me sad that there's someone out there in real need of help (not sure what all help, can't tell from just reading postings), and that there are people here that think that it's fine to tell them that people get what they deserve. While I agree with that in a few cases, a lot of people are in circumstances (for whatever reason) where they are trapped or just feel trapped, and can't get out or move on without help of some sort. To tell someone that may be temporarily off center a notch or two that they're getting what they deserve is really not helpful, and just adds to their pain. Help them move forward, or be silent, that's my opinion (obviously). Maybe you just can't help that person...for example, if they're not in a place where they can accept help or don't want to hear what you have to say. But, again, to tell them that what they're experiencing is what they deserve doesn't serve anyone's needs.
I'm sure from what I see here that most people disagree with me, I understand that, but felt like I needed to say it.

I am one who totally agrees with you Roger. I know in the other thread, I said we needed to stop responding to SWA17's posts. But piling on is simply not helpful.
Thanks!

We need to be ignoring this thread, in favor of matters that will actually benefit from our attention.
When, . . .IF swa17 returns, he should get the idea his pity party is officially OVER.
Other people need and will use help and advice--some don't.
