I've been using the Quattro FFM for just over 8 months and never felt the need for any type of hose system....

I'm curious, is there something different about nasal masks versus FFM that increases the need for a hose management system?

or is it just personal preference?
Generally, nasal masks and nasal pillow masks are more lightly secured to the face than FFMs. Therefore, the weight of the long hose has a greater likelihood of pulling the mask out of position. That is probably the reason your astute observation is correct.

Thanks for the responses , still have sore neck . Wife went down with bad back yesterday , she's bedridden . I'm giving her pressure point therapy on her sciatic notch that always helps her. She doesn't like to stay down , it had to happen the day she was to meet with hospice for her mothers care and it was 60 miles from here. No way could she ride-she can't walk yet .
I think I will try the hose hanger from amazon , no time to build something yet. I may have to splice two hoses together to keep it near the floor. Have to find a splice I guess. Back to the bedside nursing for now.

Place the CPAP on a night table near the bad.

I think you are making a wise decision. I had the PVC hanger and it was better than nothing. Next I got the travel hanger from amazon and it was so much better. I did move up to the Hozer but the little one worked very well.

Hope you and your wife get better fast. It is so sweet of you to take care of her.

So sorry to hear about your neck pains and your wife's back going out. It is good to hear that you both try to take such good care of each other.

Another tip that I forgot to mention regarding benefits of the hose hanger now appearing on Amazon is this: Taking advantage of its design, every morning, after I hang my mask and chinstrap on the attached little hook, I also disconnect both ends of the long hose, then take both ends in my hands and equalize the left and right ends so that it hangs from the middle through the top loop.

Advantage: This lets the entire length of the long hose air out and dry out during the daytime, because the height of the top of the hanger and loop is high enough so that neither end of the long hose touches the floor.

Take care, and hope both of you feel much better soon!
