Please verify that your hose assembly is designed to bleed off air (CO2) if your mask doesn't have any vent holes. It could just be leaking a small amount at the elbow but not actually designed to bleed off air.

Did you specifically purchase a CPAP mask?

New or Used? and from Whom?

There is a possibility that you have the wrong mask for the hose assembly that you have.

If you want take the mask off your hose, block the end of the hose, run it for a minute and use sleepyhead and see what your leak rate is. If it's close to zero then your elbow is not designed to bleed CO2 and it's just leaking.

This is BAD!

Just to put your (and my) mind at ease contact the mask and hose manufacturer and make sure that, 'you have the right gear and that you're good to go'.

Edit: According to the link you provided...."Unique radial diffusion leak ports release exhaled air quietly and gently. It also diffuses air away from you and your bed partner."

IF this is actually the one you HAVE you should be fine.

OK there was some confusion because the mask you have indicated in the "Mask" line of your profile is wrong. You have the correct mask listed under "Additional Comments" but that is not the first place that people look.

Yup, that was the confusion. I don't know why there's not a "Total Face Mask" option in the drop-down menu, since cpap.com carries it. It looks like the elbow is indeed what provides the ventilation. See these pictures.

Also, take a look at the "Important Tips" tab, in particular:

Early models of the FitLife Full Face Mask came with two elbows. The blue elbow is an alternative Non-Ventilated elbow. Use this only with a ventilator equipped with adequate alarms and safety systems for ventilator failure.

What color is your elbow?

There is some exhaust out the mask hose vents.

As I was getting ready to go back to sleep I had my hand partly over the vents and I could make out a slight but notable change in the sound of the air flow.

Puffing hard make it even more so.

So positive proof of some venting of our breath.

It is not Sears; it is jobbers using Sears website for a fee.
(possible selling closeout stock from a DME that's gone belly-up--LOL)
If the elbows sold are not for home use, then Sears needs to know their name is being misused.

I've wanted a Full Face Mask as a back up to my nasal mask for about a year. So I bought a a F& P Full Face Mask for $45 .

They must have given you the Medicaid mask. This is a dirty little government conspiracy. All Medicaid CPAP patients die the first night. They are trying to make the system solvent.

Aren't Medicaid patients automatically rented bottom of the line bricks--likely antiques?
