In SleepyHead the default in the statistics section where 95% (default...you can change it to 90) only refers to the statistics numbers below the pie chart or below the AHI bars if pie chart is turned off.

So yes, I will explain 90/95% numbers as to the definition of it for the values that are shown but I have never seen AHI % number....where are you seeing that?

I don't normally get excited about large leaks because most of the time it's short lived but
You were the poster child for "leaks way outta control"...and making a total mess of your therapy and you machine throwing up it's little arms and saying "I quit"....

If there was an award for the worst leak reports....you would win it hands down. I don't think I have ever seen anyone have such bad leaks for so long...night after night...and to top it all off...DME said "hey, leaks aren't a problem".. Idiots.

But we got it all straightened out and now you are walking the straight and narrow road with minimal to none leaks.
You now get to join the ranks of "boring reports"...and that's a good place to be.

Huh? What do I do with it once I find the file in review? How does it get put into SH?

With my CMS50D+ I only get ONE shot at downloading ...

The User Guide I was referring to was the SleepyHead user Guide about SleepyHead stuff.
Not about the SPO2 thing. I can't help with pulse ox compatibility in SH...sorry. I am clueless. I did it once following someone else's step by step instructions. My pulse ox data was so boring that I had no desire to watch it any more.
Papit has some really good instructions here somewhere on the forum.
I can't help with pulse ox problems...we need someone else to step up to the plate for it.

I guess I stated this question wrong, see these two reports below & they have a 90% pressure that I wrongly thought of in terms of the AHI & they relate to APAP % pressure. You may or may not think this needs explaining. (If I'm just the one who doesn't understand this just PM me, no need to clutter up the thread if I'm just the dummy).

ps - I thought of another question that would help all newbies - how to post data reports. You taught me and without your help and some help from others I'd have never figured it out. Some folks are not as computer literate as others. Anyone can browse the internet, but some interactions need instructions, which you provided for me.

The 90 % is just about pressure...90% of the night you were at OR below that pressure.
ResMed used 95 %..same definition
ResMed also uses a 95% leak number...same definition.
I did explain this in the Pointers.

In your situation it is just the way the report is shown...AHI has no relationship to the 90% number. Think of each segment as a totally separate report.

3 main segments
Pressure
Events
Leak

SH has Events on top...and pressure under flow graph and in Encore flow graph isn't even shown on this report you have to go to wave form to get it.
So just the way the data is presented visually in a different manner.

I have been reading your information and want to thank you. I have been a long term cpap user but just now getting involved in what settings I really need I was exhausted and had taken in my card last October and dme said all was well. Took it back again last month because of exhaustion. This time he increased my upper pressure thrombosis 12 to 14. I checked my pressure the next day and it was a close to 14. So I set my pressure to 20 and the daily reading is 19.2. I think I will use the 4/20 settings and start downloading my data. Any thoughts. I do not have the exhaustion i had at the lower pressure. A concern is new headaches at higher pressure. Set pressure brown to 16 and headaches better

I would want to see the software reports before offering definitive thoughts but I think that the minimum of 4 cm is probably not the way to go depending on what it is now. That can be too low to start with if you need more pressure because it takes too long to get to where it needs to be when it starts at 4 cm. The minimum pressure can be the most critical pressure. Set it properly and the maximum often doesn't need to go so high and the pressures stabilize and don't roam around all over the place.
If the pressure is too low then a person can have more events happen while the pressure is making its way up to where it needs to be.

What machine are you using? Does it collect full data so that you can use the software to see what is going on?

You might want to reconsider the wiki feature. There are really a lot of great features there for this kind of stuff.

However, the wiki functions seem to be somewhat broken at the moment and I can't create new entries, but maybe it could be fixed if you ask Carolyn.

I'm not quite sure which thread is best to put this in, but here's one SleepyHead hint.

I don't like SleepyHead ignoring short sessions. It's probably a good idea, but doesn't work with my analytical bent.

However, I found that if I set "ignore short sessions" and "combine close sessions" to "off," I get strange results like daily usage of 380,000 hours. I set ignore short sessions to 1 minute and everything seems OK.

Pugsy, feel free to use what you want in my instructions for inserting and viewing Pulse-Ox graphs and data in SleepyHead software.
