I recently watched an episode of Dr.Oz; he was interviewing a sleep disorder specialist. He found a correlation between hours of sleep and diet; meaning lacking in a certain nutrient. You are a type - 1 and I included the link below. You will have to find the portion of the video's the pertain to; but I hope this tidbit of information solve your indomnia issue.

I didn't see anything that proved cause and effect. They make it sound like you will sleep better if you eat better. If there is truly a cause and effect, isn't it the lack of sleep that causes us to crave the wrong foods?

What do we do if we hate the recommended foods? I can count the veggies I like on one hand and the fruits on the other. And I don't like any of them that much. What can I do to suddenly like foods that have textures that I despise?

I think it is easy for people who naturally like healthy foods to blame everything on not eating them. But I rarely see any advice on how to like foods when you hate them.

Do I read correctly that your heart rate is going up when you're AWAKE and on CPAP? That's a panic attack kind of thing ... it's not apnea related at all, unless you also notice that you're not breathing much during that time (and aren't otherwise feeling panic'd)

If that's the case the solution is going to be a gentle and slow process of introducing CPAP to your routine.
