Hi again,

I had the sleep study. I took half the ambien and fell asleep for 1.5 hrs. When I woke up the technician was in the room asking if I wanted to take the other half. I said yes. I fell asleep again this time I slept for 3.5 hrs.

I do not know the results though. I have to wait for at least a week to hear from the doctor.

I read on another site you should sleep sitting up if you do not have the mask. I may have to do that.

I have a fast heart rate and was told it was because I am out of shape. I believe it is from a lack of sleep. Do you think the technician would have suggested I sleep sitting up if my oxygen level was very low? Also would buying an oximeter help?

Thanks in advance

Hello Again,

I got my results. The doctor said I don't have sleep apnea. They were also no centrals. This was my biggest concerned because of my medical history. He didn't give me any numbers. He said I had some leg movement and snoring but no apneas. I requested a copy of the report. Thanks for the support I found here.

God Bless!

Wonderful! Glad to hear your study was negative. I do hope that whatever problem led to your having the study can be managed for your comfort and health though!

Blessings,

Kate

Thanks Kate. I took Ambien so I am still wondering if it can mask centrals. Probably not in my case since I only took it 3 times including the night of the study. I will be working on reducing the stress and anxiety in my life.

God bless.
