I don't use the Swift FX any more but I did use it for over a year. I tried the velcro trick but my hair was too fine for that to work. Out of desperation I finally looped a 4" long piece of 3M NexCare mulitpore tape (you can use white athletic tape too), then ran the tail end down the back of my neck. Finally I put another 2" piece of tape horizontally and on the middle/back of my neck securing the vertical tape. Basically all I dd was secure the back strap to the back of my neck with tape. Shave your neck if you have to. If you've got long hair, just put it to the sides in two bunches and proceed. You don't have to replace the tape down the back of your neck every day (I used to replace that about once every two weeks), but obviously you do have to replace horizontal piece every night. Works like a charm for men or women, however is a big pain in the ass every night. BTW, Supine sleeping made my back strap slide up.

I had the same mask and recently switched to Tap Pap. I like them both compared to the first regular nasal mask (non-pillows) I was given, but neither is perfect, as Pugsy says. For the sliding strap on the Swift FX, I did the same thing Rannie did. My (female) hair is pretty short but if you put the strap under some hair, it does keep it from sliding too far up.
Hose management is another pain in the ass for both (all) masks. Not solved yet.

Every morning I hung my swift fx mask on the headboard. Big mistake.

After only a month the weight of the mask and hose stretched the headgear.
