Just to be pedantic AND grumpy.... "grumpy old man" is not an adjective. And I don't care about Avi123. I'm grumpy, I'm old, and I'm a man! So there. ;=P

"Grumpy" and "old" are both used as adjectives in the phrase "grumpy, old man."

"Grumpy old man" is, indeed, entirely adjectival in the phrase "grumpy-old-man list."

It is also adjectival in the phrase "Grumpy Old Man Pikov," as in the sentence: "Grumpy Old Man Pikov characteristically attempted to correct Pugsy instead of trying to get the point of what was being said."

Or: "Grumpy Old Man Pikov implied that he wanted help learning this stuff from us because none of us seem to know what the heck we are talking about."

I've noticed that some people come to the forum to seek advice...some come to share their expertise and some come because they have too much time on their hands. (You can put me in any category you like).
