I've never had a flu shot and I haven't had the flu in my adult life.
You really need to get back to the forums you have dictatorial control over and kick a bunch of people off ... get it out of your system before you come back.

But, on the other subject..........
Let's cut "Cosmo" some slack.
It never hurts to have vastly different (extreme) opposing views on many subjects. As long as they're accompanied with civility and logic, it's good for new users to get an idea of what works for people with various amounts of experience with this therapy. In the end, they can then decide for themselves.

Even though I can afford some things (I put my savings into numerous backup CPAP machines for future use), I'm not ashamed to say that I'm a "recycler" and am always wondering how things can be reused. (drives my wife nuts sometimes)
I'm also a "K I S S" advocate.

Make up your own minds.

Den

.
+1 I don't agree with Cosmo on many things but I believe civil discussion and opposing ideas are important. Cosmo's ok!

On the flu shot thing, Me and my family get one every year and other than the three years running when one daughter got the shot and promptly got influenza b (which the shot does not prevent) it's worked for us.

I would try to pull this thread off-topic, but I still haven't quite figured out which of the topics is the main topic yet.

Cosmo, what would you like this thread to be about? (I guess Herodotus flu the coop and is now, uh, history?)

Perhaps because his name is in the subject line? We could start a thread about who is getting sick of you and then maybe you could chose?

Well, it is a "who is sick of this space cadet named cosmo" thread. If you REALLY want I suppose we could get Cosmo to start a "Who is sick of DreamStalker" thread, but I'd prefer NOT!

Oops, Conrad beat me to it.

I just want someone to choose a topic so I can figure out how to hijack it and derail the conversation.

I figured giving Cosmo first shot was good-sportsmanlike conduct, since he was first attacked in the thread.

But maybe letting the frog talk more about the hose cozy thingie is as good a start as any.

I love it when off-topic threads end up on topic so that all the people who try to avoid the off-topic threads end up missing the best on-topic stuff.

But hey, that's just me.

Oops, I see iSleepy and Ellie May beat me to it.

Well, just don't start talking about hose dryers or sanitizing machines!

Was it worth it?

It speaks volume and for itself of one’s character if they find the need to publicly belittle a fellow sufferer. I am not going to pretend I know what is going on in all of your lives at the moment. But trying to round up cohorts and rocket me off of this site…can’t get much lower than that.

I have peace in my life, I hope ya'll can find it too.

This is my conclusion to this thread. Good day to you all.

Actually, it speaks volumes that the OP could not find one person on this forum who wanted to rocket you off. I wish I was that liked. (Or do I? Not sure.)

But either way, letting the thread die works for me, if that's what you want. It never really had legs anyway. It's kinda like one rogue poster with 3 whole posts to her name asked for a show of hands and then couldn't get one of us to raise our hands against you. Either you are one seriously liked guy or the rest of us are a bunch of spineless do-gooders.

So I guess that means that if you're hoping to revel in not being liked around here, and thereby join the ranks of the likes of me and DreamStalker, you are just gonna have to try harder.

As for "Herodotus, well, if no one ever tries to vote you off the planet, then you aren't making enough footprints on it, I say. So take it as a compliment. Or complement. Whichever. I guess both work in this context, eh?

Hi Cosmo, I hope your sense of humor is still intact so you can see the affection you've received in the replies. Nobody really had their heart in it although I give jnk and DreamStalker credit for trying to start something, and in fact I was so bored with it that I was just going to ask Chunky what color her new hose cover was?? I really need to know!!! How's that for a hijack?

If anyone is willing to tell me what this thread is all about... then I thank you in advance.

I thought Cosmo just wanted to change his name. I must be missing something big time here.

Okay, Chunky... what color is it?

You are very welcome, Dori. haha

Hey, From time to time, I've taken public shots at folks who I think step out of line. I try to do it in a fair and polite manner (at least according to my standards ) but sometimes folks get riled, feelings get hurt. It happens. We are still strong... let's let the water flow under the bridge and get back to what we do best, which is to provide help for people with sleep apnea.
