Unfortunately it is written for cpap not bipap or auto pap as I would have preferred.

Anyway, be happy with the care you get. I don't get health care; I get health management. It's all about controlling costs. Ontario Canada.
Any medical person can write that prescription, even your dentist. You don't need to have a sleep doctor do it.

In the U.S. we are headed your way. Cost control by the federal government.

If they were really serious about cost control, they would make online cpap sales in-network.
To busy protecting the cash stream for the big contributors.

I hadn't considered that...however, I don't know whether my dentist in Ontario would help out...except perhaps with a referral for an oral appliance.

(Found out...my sleep doc is at Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga. They have always referred me to ProNorth; turns out they own 1/2 of the clinic ProNorth has at CVH. how fair is that?)

Cost to us is so high. I could order from the US if possible, and get a cpap machine from good vendors in the US for a lot less than I pay going to my DME.That does appear to be a remedy...provided I don't run afoul of my sleep doc (the only one my GP would refer me to.)

Looking for a new GP and sleep doc...time to take control back.

Can you lead the airway tube over your head with the Innomed? Can it be attched to the top headstrap? And also I have quite a small head, take child sized hats, might there be a problem with the headgear?

You can, but why would you want to? When you swivel the inlet tube up like this the exhaust vent blows on the tube and creates what is to me a fairly loud white noise. It works if you don't mind the white noise.

You can use your ingenuity and attach the hose (not any part of the mask) to the top strap.

The headgear is fully adjustable.

The Innomed is an excellent innovation in masks and the design is simple. If you are going to make it too complicated, maybe it is not the mask for you. Sorry.

I wanted to lead it over my head as I do with my existing swift LT otherwise I roll into onto the tube and get entangled in it. So that is a shame about the noise. Has anyone found a solution to that?
