Hi,
Just checking in to see how the updates ate going. Do you happen to have an interim 60 patch for the Mac yet? Or are you waiting to present the finished updates for all the OSs?
Thanks again for all your work on this

Thank you jedimark for the SleepyHead software - I just started using CPAP 2 weeks ago, and last night I braved taking out the SD data card to upload data to my Mac - at first it didn't load but after I did a search on the forum, and found an update to 9.2-3, I was able to load the data. Looking forward to the SleepyHead update you are currently working on
Not sure yet how to interpret all the data, and hoping to learn

Hey Mark! Glad ur Back!
I hope that the "cards & Letters" are coming in FAST (e.g. donations) you and the group deserve a lot for all you've done!
I just got my new PR series 60 Auto machine yesterday. I installed Jimbo's 9.2-3 MAC upgrade and it works flawlessly so far. (Thanks Jimbo!!!).
SH is head and shoulders above the Respironics software! Hands down the best!
For what the vendors charge for their software, $25.00 USD per year is not out of line for SH (hint hint nudge nudge wink wink know what I mean? my apologies to Monty python's flying circus)
I am not a MAC coder but I just may give it a go if I can be of any help (testing etc.) PM me if you want.
Last but not least (and I could be opening a can of worms here lmao) I haven't been able to find any "VB" here in the Chicago area. I developed a serious craving for it when I was last in Australia. I miss it.
Anyway, cheers mate!
Dave

Lol, thanks guys.
I got my shiny new CMS50F in the post yesterday (bought with SH donations btw )
Soooo much more comfortable than the CMS50D+. I can't wait to get it importing properly!
This means the CMS50E support should improve soon to, as I I'm pretty sure these have the same interface.
There might be an interim release before I start working on this though, because PRS1 60 series users need a release ASAP.
Getting to the bottom of some print issues on mac versions still.. An update to Qt libraries came out today, so here's hoping this help resolve them.

Has anyone mentioned the problem that occurs when Sleepyhead tries to update itself?
The download seems to occur but the install fails.

That has been mentioned in the past.
The program needs to be opened with the "run as administrator" command line. It has nothing to do with the user account administrator privileges.
Just right click mouse on the SleepyHead short cut...choose run as administrator from the little menu...SleepyHead will open and then the update should install just fine.
Seems to happen with Vista, Win 7 and probably Win 8.

Yay! I have the CMS50F and you're right, it's very easy to sleep with (once you get that whacky wristband figured out). Can't wait to be able to import data from it into SleepyHead on my Mac. Going to help refresh the donation pot now... Thanks again Mark.

Gee, I need to get me one of those and wear it around town. It would be a great chick magnet. I get lots of comments on my 5 inch Galaxy smartphone already. All the cute chicks keep asking me about it.
Strangely enough, though, none of the cute chicks have asked me out for a date after looking at my phone. Maybe the pulseox would push them over the edge.

I find the straps for those things are a nightmare to put on. Took me ages to figure it out.

Can you replace the lithium battery in the CMS50F when it goes bad. I tried googling for a battery for the CMS50F and couldn't find one. I read some where that you can't change the battery when it goes dead and it will go dead at sometime, I just can't remember where I read it. Anybody have a number for the replacement battery. That's a lot of money if you can't change the battery.

LiIon/LiPoly cells have smart charge circuitry, so it's not just a case of replacing cells.
If the voltage is let drop below a certain level, the battery units commit suicide. They have circuitry to stop it getting that low, but if a device is left flat for a long period of time, it can get to those danger levels.
Best to keep the device topped up regularly, even if your not recording sessions on it. (At least once a month) :-/
Looked after properly, the battery should last for years though.
That said, I'm sure some clever cookie will figure out how to hack a cheap cell phone battery in them or something.
Probably the one advantage of the CMS50D+, I get 3 days usage out of one charge of my NiMH AAA's. Pity it was so uncomfortable and falls off all the time.

When I use my CMS50D+ I put a piece of tape around it to hold it on.

I wrap the strap around my wrist and thumb to get it as tight as possible without stopping the blood flow. It still comes off during the night, but I do get at least some information. I just wish I could get a complete recording including during REM sleep. I am sure that may at least partly answer why I don't feel the same as I did after my titration study!
