I've seen reference to encore basic ... is that the same as encore viewer? ... I've tried encore viewer 2 but it won't import the data.

I believe encore pro 2.4 would work but I have no idea how to get it, I know the place where I got the unit from is on encore anywhere ... is that something I can subscribe to?

Sorry if I sounds like such a noob but just trying to wrap my head around this ... seems like this should not be so difficult after paying so much for a machine just to view data.
EncoreBasic is not any less of a program in the sense of what it reports despite the Basic name.
Encore Pro is a huge bloated hog...over 300 MB compared to 22 MB for Basic.
The reports are the same....exactly the same.
Pro has about a 1 in 5 failure rate and comes with big headaches.
Out of several hundred Basic installs I can count the failed installs on one hand.

Trust me...I have been using various Pro versions for 4 years....Basic will do everything that Pro does.

You can't get EncoreAnywhere and you really don't want it. It costs money each month and doesn't show you anything that Basic won't show...
EncoreGuide link this will show you examples of what you will see. For a different machine than yours but the basics are the same. The reports are all the same no matter which Encore program you use.

Machine: PR S1 Auto BiPAP 760P on Bilevel - -
Computer: Mac Mini - OS 10.8.3 - -
SleepyHead: v0.9.2-3 - -

I tried the patch from early January for the 60 series. However, my PR S1 is only a month old and there clearly is a data problem. For example, on one night my AHI was 3,771.63. All of the data on all of the nights is also way off. I compared it to the DME reports from Encore as well. Way off - it looks like the patch needs some updating... Thanks much, and, SleepyHead looks great, by the way. Can't wait to really use it.

Windows Patch or Mac Patch?
The Windows Patch does work with the 60 series BiPaps...I have one and SH version 0.9.3 for Windows works.
I thought that they fixed the Mac version at the same time but maybe they didn't.
Anyone using a 60 series machine and SH with the Patch for the Mac version??

The code is the same, but I haven't seen a Mac build of the patch. I'm planning working on that this weekend. I don't know how to make a build available to anyone else, though.

jedimark. I remember when you pleaded for CPAPtalk members for help with Sleepyhead's debugging/coding/builds/Mac implementation. That was probably mid-to-late 2012, about the time of your big storm? Anyway, now you've got the help you requested, buddy. Careful what you wish for.

Just kidding. I'm glad other coders are chiming in and throwing stuff at the wall. I only wish I was well enough versed in programming to lend a hand to the project. I love Sleeyhead v0.9.2.1 and have never had any problems. I hope you and your cohorts keep up the good work... I rely on it a lot.

My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I think I updated the Mac and Win builds of the patch to both handle all the known Series 60 issues, including the BiPap. If you've downloaded and correctly installed the patch and it isn't working I'd be interested in hearing about that. Be sure to note all the version info in the application so that we're sure we're talking about the same build.

We've been meaning to do a release. Packaging things up with an installer seems to be the biggest hold-up. There aren't any docs for this, and I suspect everybody is a little hazy on how it has been done in the past. I need to force myself to sit down and play with packaging applications on Windows. The source is completely up-to-date, and generally more recent even than the patches I've posted on the forums.

I never found a Mac build, and it's not clear to me what a patch would look like on a Mac (thanks to the use of bundles).

Here's a Mac build with the Series 60 patches, up through the Feb 11 commit to fix the code 0 issue on Series 60. That was the latest version I saw at your github and sourceforge.

The disk image was created using "macdeployqt SleepyHead.app -dmg", so there's no installer. Just drag the SleepyHead.app into your applications folder. Since this is largely untested, you should probably make a backup of any existing SleepyHead.app in case you encounter problems.

For some reason this build is a good bit smaller than the 0.9.2-2 beta (55MB vs. 70). I could have made it smaller still (45MB) by compiling Qt with -no-exceptions, but I wasn't sure if that had any negative side effects.

I am using a System One 560P. The patch works perfectly! I could not read the data card before.

Thank you so much for the patch.

Now if we can get the CMS50E data, that would make my day. (I bought a CMS50x because of SleepHead, not knowing it would not import that data. )

Great job on SleepHead, keep up the good work!

I use a CMS50E. You do have to use their SpO2 Review software to import from the oximeter, but then SleepyHead will read the resulting CSV file.

Hi Sawinglogz,

I've tried the newest Mac patch you put out for trial (SleepyHead-0.9.3-402f6be9.dmg), and after opening the disk image and dragging the sleepyhead program to the applications folder it won't run on my Mac (which is still running OS 10.6). I get an error message saying to check with the developer to see if it is designed to run on this version of the operating system.

An older patch from the fall does work on my Mac:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/thefreemanclan ... pyHead.dmg
SleepyHead v0.9.2-3 (beta)
Build Date: Oct 31 2012 16:29:08

I appreciate the programming and bug crunching that all are doing. I'm not into programming anymore but I'm comfortable with computers and can be a tester if you want me to check on details, or want me to try new builds or installers feel free to PM me.

For Windows users a full install of 0.9.3 is now posted at:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/sleepyhead/files/

That is the official 0.9.3 release (it will not auto-update at this time), so feel free to grab that and skip all the patching. You'll probably want to uninstall the old version first (I'm not sure if it will automatically do so - it is using a new installer).

The Linux release is also done but I need to work on packaging that for distros other than Gentoo (on my to-do list - help welcome).

For Mac users, Mark has been having issues with getting the newest version to work on more recent OSX versions so that is still a work in progress. He intends to get that out once he fixes the issues.

Thanks, rich0.

Are you talking about the "SleepyHead-0.9.3-beta-win32-setup.exe" file? Just slightly confused about the "beta." and the 5/12 timestamp.

Yes. All the versions have been marked as beta for a while, and it was uploaded a week or two ago.

Weird. It was built on 10.7, so it must have somehow decided not to run on anything older. I'm not sure why.[/quote]

Was this official release built from the current source in the SourceForge git repository?
