Aww, you closed it before I could figure out how to post as Chuckerbutty22. (Check it out, he really is a classical composer.)

May you and hubby have a great weekend DoriC!

I can now truly say my work here is done. You're welcome Dori. Goodbye and best of luck to all of you with your CPAP therapy!
I agree it is time to move past this thread (and for me, move past this forum)

Good luck to all!

Certainly, at the point of that post, he really did mean it...

I am riding in the elevator one day, and two kitchen workers get on, in soiled white smocks, worn shoes, and obviously from that part on the neighborhood. Clearly, I am much better than they are.

They are in mid-conversation, and one is replying to the other: "Hey, it's all about respect, man. That's the secret".

When you're in an elevator, there aren't a lot of places to hide...

The need for respect is as strong as that of food, or... sleep.

The boy throws out what he believes to be a clever parting shot ("last tag") in an attempt to feed the need for respect. Of course, this is not part of the Phenomenon of Respect. Rather, Respect behaves in the same way as gift-giving-- the more you give, the greater you receive (because the gift is the Giving).

So this boy continues his quest for respect utilizing belittlement. He believes his lot in life may be improved by attempting to tear others down who he believes are "better" than him. Consequently, that is why Dori, who represents all that is good, is the target (either that, or it is because she represents a mother figure. Certainly, that Social Immaturity has deep and early roots).

But of course, in practice:
DoriC wrote:...what he really did was bring out the very best in people and brought us even closer as forum buddies!
and the chasm becomes that much greater.

I envision the boy when he was a small child, when he was still malleable. Clearly, we would have a much different opinion of him in that scenario, even if his behaviour was the same then as it is now (and to an extent, would arguably have been a little easier to understand (but not "accept")).

So then what happened? We might surmise a number of events (or lack of events) that caused his social development to stall. But that merely makes this behaviour explainable, not justifiable.

Listen son, I won't argue whether it is easier to wallow in self-pity and blame others for your plight, because I don't believe that's the case. Clearly, it makes everything that much harder. Similarly, I won't give you a free pass because you have "justification" for your behaviour (because you don't).

Surrender the right to retaliate.

"Hey, it's all about respect, man. That's the secret".

Im on the other side of all this. I've NEVER struggled with feeling sleepy.

Instead, I probably did some amount of brain damage, potentially to my hypothalmus, by getting diagnosed late. Ive been on cpap for
two years, and my body is now able to HEAL some of those things, as best its able.

Youre not thinking right about this. You have two separate issues. Stopping breathing is one. Fatigue is the other.

You've solved the stopping breathing, and thats a cause for rejoicing. Imagine only 40 years ago this technology was unavailable, and many
people simply died in their sleep.

As far as fatigue, you need to look at everything. As was said, food allergies, celiac, fibromyalgia, deficiency, anemia, mono, metal toxicity,
lyme disease.

We're all in the same boat. Its a lifetime quest for good health. Some are more debilitated than others. Its a shame youre struggling so early.
But with medical science they can find out whats going on. You need to use oximetry and see if youre getting enough 02.

Finally, give this a year before even THINKING about any other avenues. Chances are your body and brain are healing as we speak. It takes
MONTHS often times. Oxygen is the main energy source in our bodies. Every cell depends on it every second. Cpap is not the cause of your problems,
but it sure as hell will be if you quit.

He got what he deserved including the cranky old wife.

As for "Guest", as I said before, I'm not gonna argue with someone named "Guest". He's been here for a long time but doesn't even create
a proper profile. Whatever.

I'm a nice guy but I call it like it is. Many of you have been very helpful and I appreciate it! Those who just come here to argue don't
really bother me. I'm willing to move on from the past and focus on being positive instead of rehashing old arguments from a previous thread.
I'm not here to fight with an old lady who doesn't use CPAP or a "Guest." I'm here to focus on the problems at hand instead of petty arguments.
I have no problem with 95 percent of the people here, it's just those who come looking for a fight that are wasting their time
You're not a nice guy and "calling it like it is" does not include labeling people with your projected imaginings. Hopefully, when you get your sleep problem straightened out, you will learn to be civil to those who have tried to help you.

Hi Renate,

As one who has greatly been struggling with sleep problems for alot longer than Mozart has, in my opinion, they are not an excuse to be mean to people as Mozart was. So if he doesn't know right now what what he did was extremely mean, I seriously doubt he will when his sleep problems are straightened out.

Mozart is simply a mean person who needs to be permanently banished from this board.

That sounds pretty mean and definitely vindictive.

Hi Christine,

I can understand why you might see it that way.

For various reasons, I can't elaborate why I feel the way I do. But please understand this is not a conclusion I came to lightly.

Hi, 49er,

You are right - I was trying to be tolerant.

Dori, I also thank you and Mike for the sacrifice and respect your very generous responses to Mozart. The chasm between the two of you is indeed great, as an earlier poster noted.

Saw this on another board and had to laugh - apparently "whinging pom" is Aussie for chronic whiner -

Does your sleep doc prescribe the Concerta?
YES. I have been on it for years now.
