Oh! I had a new and exciting problem on the road (in the lovely burg of Elk City, OK): I was unable to plug in the power cord. The port on the machine became misaligned somehow. I really hate these old-fashioned serial port style plugs; they seem so fragile. Once we cajoled it back into lining up, I didn't unplug that part of it again for the whole trip, which was pretty darned awkward in terms of packing. I don't know if they'll have to replace it or what. I don't think much of the design.
Finally, the new machine is SO wide that I'm literally going to have to buy a new bedside table to accommodate it (it's at a precarious angle currently, with 1/3 of it unsupported). So much for my doctor's "It's smaller!" assurances. Grumble grumble.
