Idea! Develop a app for the computer and cell phone so they can emit SADD Light from the screens. The only downside women may become over exposed from their cell phones, only men drug dealers should be effected by overuse. Jim

Some kids got inventive, and tried bootlegging some from California;
but by the time they got back, it had all leaked out of the truck.
I think the problem was they took turns going back and looking at it--such a novelty.

No need for an app. Just save this picture to your phone Or stare at it from your current monitor.

But the real light has a way greater output than anything your phone's screen can output.

If you really think you have SAD (seasonal Affective Disorder)

Then you need a lamp that is 10,000 lux full spectrum.
They are not all the same.

Some just mimic sunlight to wake you up but don't provide the amount of lux that is required to treat SAD.

I had one for years and it broke so I am replacing it as soon as I can get the $165 for a logan medlight.

I know they work on SAD and actually increase your energy level and mood.

They do this by naturally leveling the serotonin in your brian.

It's not fancy or pretty, but it works like a charm.

It said $139.00, plus shipping I guess.

If I knew it worked, really worked, I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Prob is... so many people say they don't work and aren't worth the dollars.

Does anyone think that Ott lights will work for SAD? Crafters use them because they are bright and have full spectrum light.

eeckel... seriously doubt it... just too inexpensive, too easy. Would have been known way before now. I even doubt the most expensive ones really do what they claim.

They work for me.

I bought one in 2005 and used it for a few years before it broke. I was able to get out of bed get a full time job and go to college. Before the lamp I was depressed all year long and couldn't really function, it was especially bad in the winter. I couldn't even go to the store and most days didn't get out of ed at all.

The effects stayed with me for about a year after it broke and then the winter depression started again. Now I'm feeling really bad and can't wait to get a new one.

It can't hurt to try it.
