I don't think LSAT deleted your comment. I think he was just reporting that the comment was gone (had been deleted by someone) and he assumed it was you. That is what I thought had happened. Apparently you didn't remove it so someone else did.

Pretty much everyone who has been a forum member for 90 days gets the spam button. There are no special moderators within our ranks.

Send Carolyn a private message and tell her someone removed your post and she will put it back and whomever did the spam delete thing will get a reprimand from her. If they are a habitual offender they will get their spam button removed.

Forum members aren't supposed to spam remove someone's post just because we might not like what is said.
I do not think for one minute that LSAT did it. He isn't that type of person and he had no dog in the fight.
I think he thought like I did that you regretted your comment and removed it. I thought it was strange because I didn't see a problem with your comment but figured maybe you changed your mind.
I have spam removed some of my own posts in the past when I have changed my mind about something.

I'm not going to defend what I said because I don't feel like I have to. It was my opinion. BTW all we have is our opinion on this forum.
Jen,

I think your comment was pretty heartless but I am totally against censorship as people have the right to say what they believe. So I hope nothing else was deleted.

Anyway, as one who is struggling greatly, I am in tears this morning as I write this post. It is not just an issue of asking people question as when you're exhausted from lack of sleep, it is hard to think of the right questions to ask.

Also, forum members can't answer all questions as doctors need to be consulted. But then there is that pesky issue of not having health insurance.

Anyway, I just don't understand why having compassion for other people who are greatly struggling is so difficult. No, you don't have to be touchy feely to simply say, I am sorry things are so difficult, I hope they get better and to leave the tough love comments out of it. That is very hurtful and needs to stop.

Everyone, the funny thing is I tried quitting last night and I found it hard to sleep without the APAP so I put it back on and went to sleep. Funny how things happen. Time to visit the doc and continue with APAP. It can't hurt to stay on it. I want to thank everyone for their comments.

Good for you. I am sure your internal organs and brain thank you for that decision.

We come here for HELP--(to ask, receive, and offer).
We already get enough "tough", and not enough "love" from our family, doctors, and especially (local) suppliers.
Sometime we go without positive support for so long, we begin to sound like a teensy violin;
and some folks simply don't see themselves in that place, playing "sad fiddle".
Either they have never been there, don't remember, or actually buy into the "be strong--you weakling" mantra.
Despair is a cruel thing, it works like a snowball, a big, mean, dirty snowball--once built, it can crush you.
You actually can melt that snowball--one match at a time. So get out your matches; let's get started.
Edit: ((hug))

phx1hab,

Sometimes cpap/apap will not make us feel better during the day if there are other things going on. If you have not done so, I would make sure that you don't have low vitamin D, thyroid issues, inflammation in the body, etc. All of these can be checked with a simple blood test and all are things which can affect how you feel during the day, producing feelings of sleepiness or lethargy. Inflammation can make you feel like your body is 10 times heavier than it is, for example. Sometimes inflammation is caused by diet (food intolerances, etc.).

Others have mentioned above using software to monitor your therapy. This is essential so that you can at least know if your therapy is successful and can look to other reasons for not feeling well during the day. Using a recording pulse oximeter overnight is another way, as someone mentioned above, to make sure your oxygen levels are not plummeting while you sleep (another check on successful therapy). Software monitoring is essential, in my opinion, for anyone considering stopping cpap therapy.

Good luck whatever you decide.

Maybe it's like having a cow step on your foot. It feels so good when it finally moves. Glad you stuck with it so far.

I am not responsible for deleting your post. It disappeared and I assumed that you deleted it when it was criticized.

I've never seen a new group of newbies at each other's throats before. What the heck is going on?

Can't blame on a full moon, that doesn't happen until next week.

Time to pull out some James Taylor music & play "shower the people with love"

On an off topic sad note, tomorrow is the anniversary of the loss of John Lennon..

It's at times like this that I really wish I'd listened to what my mother told me when I was young.
