Thanks all...sorry I'm such a newbie but I never really looked into this before.
My machine is the Remstar pro2 with C-Flex, my mask is ResMed Ultra Mirage II Nasal Mask. I am reading both manuals today...

You'll probably find much more pertintent info about aerophagia if you use the forums search button - top of screen - instead of googling it.
naso-pharyngeo-broncho-tracho-alveolar (nose, pharynx, bronchii, trachea, alveoli...).
Oh, by the way, harikarishamari - the exact phrase was "glorified leaf blower". Coined way back when by unclebob.
Welcome to the forum Gail, and good luck.

If you break that into smaller chunks, you will find about
nasopharyngeal: 2 million
tracheobronchial: half million
tracheobroncheal: 284
bronchotracheal: 500
bronchotrachial: 7
alveolar: 5 million
hits on Google™
Funnily, the preferred spelling on Wikipedia* is "tracheobroncheal", opposite the rest of the world.
(*Encyclopedia by committee)
When many people refer to their "sinuses", they are referring to that mysterious dark space somewhere back of their nose where the air blows (or doesn't). Turns out the air blows through the nasopharyngeal cavity, and only blows PAST the sinus openings (which don't really exhange much air at all). It then continues on down through those other thingies, and back. Seemed like there should be a word for that. I guess "airway" would work. (boring)
(I'm deeply insulted that Google™ has not discovered this fine word. But they can be trained. It may take time.)

You're right, Ric. Instead of eloquent, I should have said
colorful! & oversize.
