Your post makes me curious. Having been one who has more than once fallen outside expectations of the medical professionals, I try to not be quick to totally write something off just because I haven't experienced it or don't understand it. So I did a little (very little actually) searching over on PubMed but all I found was related to preterm infants. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17703183 If anyone with a sharper mind than mine can tell if or how any of this could translate to adults, or finds other links, please do post. Have you had any surgeries or treatments during this time frame that could have affected digestive function?

My decrease is no where near as severe as the OP but the need / frequency for me has dramatically decreased.

I have to think about making time for it now.

Constipation is often caused by anesthesia during surgery.
I wonder if any sleep or mood meds might?
