assuming you have the same build as below it should be working - at least on a mac. there's no message to tell you that an import was successful. SH defaults to 'today's date'. therefore you think there's no data though it is probably there.

try clicking on some actual dates when you know you used the machine.

My CPAP machine is a new 460P running 3.03 code. That the basic Resprironics REmStar Pro with Cflex+. I browse to the SD card and find the P0 directory but Sleepyhead still says no data found.
Where are you directing the download to?
The P Series folder or sub folders? If so then you have gone too far.
The navigation should stop at the drive letter where the SD card sits. It it says anything other than the drive letter for directory then you have gone too far.
This is the most common error made with importing for SH data...people go into the SD card and point to the first folder.

So just point the download to the drive letter where the SD card sits and then click "choose" and see if that works.

TO all:

Thanks for the replies. I did get Sleepyhead to finally download the data. As someone posted one has to point to the root directory of the SD Drive. I had tried all of the multiple directories EXCEPT the root. Murphy's law strikes again. Now its working great.

Thanks again to all:

Don

Hello all. I am trying to build rich0's version of SleepyHead. I am using Manjaro Linux(Arch Based). I have been able to build the package, however get an error when pressing the select user button. The program freezes and get a error in the terminal. I am not a programmer, just a linux enthusiast.

This is the error given in the Terminal:

Pre/Post: QMetaObject::connectSlotsByName: No matching signal for on_summaryButton_clicked()
00423: Debug: "SleepyHead v0.9.3" built with Qt 5.0.2 on Jul 9 2013 12:15:42 (mainwindow.cpp:239, void MainWindow::Startup())
00425: Debug: Loading "/home/robandsarah/Documents/SleepyHeadData/Profiles/Rob/Journal_7b0a53d2" (SleepLib/machine.cpp:249, bool Machine::Load())

Thanks,

Rob

hi all
i have just found this site have installed sleepyhead and the patch.
i have a remstar autoflex 551P when i try to import data from the root file i get open not choose in the dialog box and it opens the sim card to the pseries files as opposed to importing data.
when in sleepyhead to import data it asks me to choose remstar mseries or zeodata i have tried both but they give the same result and try to open the root directory as opposed to selecting root directory am i supposed to do something else with the install or is my machine not compatible with sleepyhead

Uninstall what you have done with SleepyHead and the Patch.
Go here and get version 0.9.3...it includes the Patch file as well as other bug fixes.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/sleepyhead/files/

It will work with your machine...not sure what you are doing during the import process but you should only have the drive letter where the SD card is sitting as the source for the import.
Are you using the Import function on the right side of the screen or using something up in the upper left corner under File?
Need to use the Import function on the right side of the navigation panel...do you see it? Import is on the lower right.

What operating system is on your computer?
What method or way are you using to navigate to the SD card? Are you using the MyComputer navigation tool?
Disregard the stuff about the M series or Zeo import thing...that's not the right area to choose from.

Can you post an image of the screen that you are seeing that doesn't allow for the choose option for the drive letter where the SD card sits?
This thread explains how to post images of screen shots because we use them for posting reports too.
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=81072&p=737779#p737779
It might help us if we could see what you are seeing so that maybe we can figure out where you are at.

Might also help if you had a thread of your own with your problem....it's going to get lost in this old thread.
We no longer have to do the Patch file thing.

thanks for the info.
i realized after you said i was importing from wrong area the data tab on sleepyhead is not the correct spot and i should have been in the file drop down area.
i will mess around with the data a bit then log a new thread for any other input.
thanks again for your help

Just one small correction - that is true on Windows, and true on Linux (if your distro includes 0.9.3). We still don't have 0.9.3 working on OSX but Mark is working hard on it. He is attempting to fix some printing issues in 0.9.2 (patched or not) with more recent OSX versions. The next OSX upgrade will certainly include the patch though.

Is there anyone who can make a .deb of rich0's version of SleepyHead? I have tried over and over again to build it, but I keep running into dependency hell.

TIA

I have a 60 series CPAP, Model 260P, and installed the SleepyHead software. The program would run, and recognize the model data, but I could not get usage data to load. So I installed the patch, and now the program will not load at all and I get an error:

"The program can't start because mingwm10.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

I am running Windows 7.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Model 260 is affectionally known as a brick. It does not record ANY efficacy data, only usage data. If you acquired it recently, give it back and get a model 560 Auto PAP with full efficacy data.
You may need to be very firm with your DME.

The Patch is old news and is no longer needed with the newest SleepyHead versions.
So SH was working as it is supposed to initially and the problem of no data was your machine doesn't collect any useful data.
Like bwexler said.....take it back and get a model that does collect efficacy data.
You need model 460 or higher and then SleepyHead will work.
Since the addition of the Patch file has messed up SH I would suggest removing it and starting all over once you get a full data machine.
See this blog especially the part about "help I am stuck with a brick".

I've had it for far too long to return it. I only want to get the usage data. Is that possible considering the issues I was having with the data? SleepyHead was not retrieving the usage data from the SD card, only the model and serial number information for my CPAP. There definitely are data files on the card for each day of use.

SleepyHead needs the other files (files xxxx.002 and xxxx.005 which your machine doesn't do) to be able to calculate any usage data.
You can use Encore though to get the usage data. I will send you a private message with information on using Encore.
