Hi Jen, I've been using F&P Icon software for the past 2 years, it is user friendly & verfy informative. I live in Australia, & here you can get the CD from your machine supplier, it costs $40 & a letter from a doctor is needed.
I ddin't have any trouble installing it or using it, & I'm no computer expert.

To get Infosmart, go to http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/6201659. Use a filesharing program to download Infosmart. Then you'll have to go to the Fisher & Paykel Infosmart site (https://software.fphcare.com/InfoSmartR ... ion/Create) and enter address information pretending to be a DME or a doctor. As soon as you enter the information, they'll instantaneously send a serial number to your email. The program was easy to install on Windows Seven. It worked great. I still haven't been able to get it to work on Windows Eight. Like many other users, I'm pissed off at Fisher & Paykel for making me go through these steps. They should want the users of their products to be interested in how their treatment is going. They should offer the software to ordinary users. Good luck.

I can't remember the exact process as it has been too long for my short memory, but when I first got the F&P software going, it would not read my SD card.

Talked to the DME, and he suggested opening the memory stick contents and deleting the entire directory where the data is, and then re-inserting the card into the machine....this re-write the data back.

Pretty sure that's all it took to get access.

I also just download the F&P softare from the torrents, and just registered it to get a serial #.

I recently (2 weeks) started with my first CPAP, an F&P Icon Premo. Like many people on this board, I think it's important to be able to monitor your own data to optimize the settings. So, like Grant I downloaded the Infosmart software, and it works great, except it will only work for 30 days without registering. I've been to the F&P web page and entered my name and email, but did not receive a serial. Tried again with a different email address, but still no serial arrived.

So Grant, do you think it's because I gave a US address when I registered (I noticed you're in Canada) that a serial wasn't sent. Do you have any suggestions, or even better, email me a serial number.

The reason F & P won't give the software to people in the US is because the FDA issued a mandate that only DME and Doctors can have the software in the USA, they were afraid to many people would try to self manage their own program.

OK, this is tricky, but I finally got it to work, here is the basic attack I used. Another member sent this to me and I'm not naming names, I've tried to break it down into steps.

Registering Your F&P InfoSmart™ Software
1. Upon first installing F&P InfoSmart™, a 30-day trial version of the software is
available. (and it WILL lock you out after 30 days, it did that to me) If you are after that 30 day mark, uninstall the software from your PC

2. To register the F&P InfoSmart™ software, visit http://software.fphcare.
com/ and enter in the required fields including your email address. An email will be
sent with a serial number that is required to register the software. (I did this and got the email, trick was I filled in my name as a COMPANY/ORGANIZATION when filling out the required fields, I don't think COMPANY/ORGANIZATION is listed as a required field, but the trick is if you aren't a company or organization, they won't send you the serial #)

3. Reinstall your software. Navigate to the Start menu  All Programs  Fisher & Paykel Healthcare 
F&P InfoSmart  F&P InfoSmart Server  F&P InfoSmart Administrator. Click the Register button and the form will appear. Enter in your Name, Organization
and Serial Number and click the Register button. The F&P InfoSmart™ software is now registered.

4. When you try to log in the first time, you will have to use 'admin'' as the name. Going thru the tabs, you can change this, I think. I just changed the password to one I wanted to remember & left 'admin' as my user name.

Now, is this all legit? I don't know. Will it work for you? I don't know that either, but if you get in trouble or get stuck, PM me & I'll try to help.

I was able to get my software working perfectly, just as if I was a DME or Drs ofc. Why? Maybe I was lucky, but I think it was because of several forum members who helped me along. So now, I hope this helps you.

Where did you get the username and password to log in? I did what you said, but on the login screen, it just says Admin. I tried the password "admin" and no password, and neither worked.

I also got a database configuration error when starting up. Is there something I need in order to run the software? What did you do to get the server running?

Also, on my stick, all I see are the folders FPHCARE and studio and the setup and InfoUSB programs. Where is the data?

InfoSmart is a big PITA to use...can't help you with it...sorry but you can use SleepyHead software.
If you have a Windows computer...get version 0.9.3 build date May 2013...It should work with your Icon Auto.
If you have a Mac...we have to get a different version and a special Patch file..

Try looking on the install CD you created...

USER: Admin
Password: password (this is case sensitive)
