Avi, See, that's the way to do it! Mandy Patankin played the role of Avigdor in the movie Yentl.jnk wrote:Nothing about nasal pillows causing FLs in either link, that I could find.
So in answer to the OP question . . .
But hey, I could be wrong. It is fine to think outside the box, Avi. But in a medical-therapy-centered forum, I think it important that we all try our best not to be misleading to the casual reader. It's all in how we each state what we believe, I believe. How Nasal Pillows Cause Flow Limitations & UARS???

Pugsy amazes me in how up-to-date-mainstream-science she remains while coming up with useful ideas for people to make their therapy successful and to understand the problems of sleep-breathing. I admire that.

Pugey is the best and I am so grateful to her. She is a wonder. On this subject of FL, I am just trying to learn. And I will be getting the Gosy and O rings and give them a try, thanks again.

Caution,
Those industrial O rings are made of material not necessarily compatible with the human body such as the true nasal pillows material is. As a matter of fact those O rings are probably toxic to your nostrils. So if you are a mature enough person you could decide for yourself if it's a misleading advice. You could also sue. Advice given on blogs is acceptable by the courts to be entered as law suits.

Popcorn.
The o-rings Karen sent me arrived in the mail yesterday and THEY WORKED!! I haven't slept so well in....well, I can't remember when.jnk wrote:Glamborn's (gl's) O-ring fix/mod for nasal pillows:

Ah, I see Pugsy beat me to it. I think Glamborn may have been the originator. That post changed my PAP life.
I'm glad.Bon Bon wrote: THEY WORKED!!
Do they make Pink O-rings?jnk wrote:I'm glad.Bon Bon wrote: THEY WORKED!!
Congrats!
But let's all keep avi's observations in mind. Let's not shove the O-rings up our nose or grind them up into bits to sprinkle them on our cereal. That might be bad for us. And Glamborn hasn't posted in a while, so it might be hard to sue him.
I think Pink has her own nose rings.lazer wrote:Do they make Pink O-rings?
Provent causes WHAT? You know that Dr. R had some role in the development or study of Provent?avi123 wrote:I 'll contact Dr David Rapoport on my own via a sleep doc who is a friend of Dr R. Who knows, as a past Biomedical Engineer (M.Sc.), Dr R. plus Dr Jonathan.. plus me , might coordinate a study to find out if nasal pillows masks cause elevated Flow Limitation, UAR, and RERA? Think about it: a deviated septum, faulty nose turbinates, large uvula, Provent, etc., all cause it. So why not nasal pillows dangling off your nostrils?[/b]
I wondered that, too. But actually the black o-rings look pretty cool with the pink headgear!lazer wrote:Do they make Pink O-rings?jnk wrote:I'm glad.Bon Bon wrote: THEY WORKED!!
