Well I'm ready to give up .I have been reading about some of the other folks who live in in Canada & I think my problem is because we don't get proper help here..The place I go to only has given me 2 kinds of nose masks. The one I could not get to stop leaking
The funny thing about my problem is I was using a Philips respironics Trueblue nasal -Size med . I was getting used to the mask & even got 8 hours one night on it Then All of a sudden I couldn't breath in it (See my other post)
I know my asthma got worse as I was around someone who smoked . I went back to the RT who tried the bipap.. As soon as she put it on I couldn't breath through it either. She tried adjusting the pressure on both the bipap & the Cpap but no matter what I couldn't breath through my nose .. They said I better go back to face mask which I hate ,. When I had it before it gave me sore nose & I couldn't use my asthma inhaler without taking the mask off & on .
.They put the mask on me in the office & I tried it .The funny thing was I was breathing through my mouth & all of a sudden tried my nose I could breath through it ..It was strange ..Any way make a long story short they thought they would try a new mask a Amara full face .. Worse mask I ever had for leaking... I spent one hour of tighten so tight it hurt it ..It leaks around the chin .So Friday back again for another full face mask
.Here in BC Canada we get to be evaluated for 3 months then have to buy. My 3 months almost up . Also in BC Canada its a year wait for the sleep clinic so have not gone for one just had the home test (I did it 2 times because I was hoping the first one was wrong < It wasn't )
My surgery for my hip replacement was canceled for a number of reasons One my lungs but the other because I didn't have a mask IM so frustrated I'm ready to give up on masks.. I heard some where about a bi-level ( I think that's what its called) What is that ?Can you use it for mouth & nose ?.
I don't want to give up yet BUT Wow need to get my mask right .. I want to thank everyone for the help you all have tried to give me here
