Yes most forums I have participated in also had something like that. It was usually called "The Inn" where people introduced themselves, played silly games, and such. Some poster would make up incredible descriptions of the inn interior and exterior, the bar tenders and servers.
I can see it now - our inn "Ye olde Hoser Pub" It never closes and it has a lively night life as cpap insomnia, mask leaks and rain out drive people to belly up to the bar for some favourite, virtual but non-system depressing drinks and chat. In the back ground is a pick up band of the "Leakers", using mask farts, didgeridoos and other sound creating objects to create original music. There is a TV running videos of people sleeping happily with their xpaps.
Behind the bar is a wall sculpture made up off hundreds of masks, liners and hoses.
In the garden is a nice terrace or those of us who enjoy a more bistro like atmosphere where we can indulge in a nice cappuccino and gluten-free croissant or a nice Paleo roast beast with virgin spring water.
Behind the hedge is a workout space with a running track and pool.
Great word pictures, BlackSpinner! You too, Carbonman! What enviable imaginations you have.

The way this thread is going reminds me of Seinfeld. A whole lot of about nothing.
@BS - Let's not forget at the very, very back of the inn there is a dark corridor that leads to a room with a gray sign called "The Room to Never Never Land". The sign looks like a piece of wood tossed along side of the hill to get old and dry. Below the sign is a revolving door. Most of the patrons of the inn are rather perplexed about this room. The patrons have heard rumors about "that" room. The only folks allowed to enter the revolving doors are those that have a white band on their wrist which appears to have come from either the hospital or medical office. No one is quite sure. Rather odd that room. The women, men and children that enter look rather disheveled, tired, cranky, unfocused, sometimes holding their heads due to headaches or fuzzy head, some look like they hadn't slept in days, and still others appear to being confused. As they approach the door, you can hear some folks whispering "Need sleep, need sleep." Their weak and weary chants would remind you of the movies where the zombies say, "Eat brains, eat brains." Surely a sad sight. However, when they exit this room, their whole disposition has miraculously changed! They look cheerful and enthusiastic with their minds alert, clear headed and focused to what lies before them on any given day. Under their breath, you can hear the new chant "I am happy to be alive and thankful I am rested and clear headed with new energy for today". Upon exiting, they then ask for a drink and mingle with the other folks at the inn. As the patrons ponder over what goes on behind that door, they nervously think of the movie, "The Stepford Wives".
Those who come to the inn frequently have heard tales what lies behind the revolving door. Some of the rumors have been of folks receiving new masks, learning how to use their xpap, downloading a very odd program called SleepyHead. They learn how to read their data. FINALLY find out what is known as "a brick". They never knew that one existed. People in this room never knew that leaks could be problematic to having good therapy. Others are brought to a pod with several computers and each computer has a website. When they press the Favorites tab, they quickly find a tab called "Cpaptalk.com" where they learn about their condition and find a forum with friendly people who are quick to help and assist them with whatever they need. Another tab found under Favorites is called CPAP.com where they DO find the equipment they're looking for with friendly customer service. A third tab is found called Pad-a-Cheek who assists in making their condition more comfortable. Lastly, another tab they find is Pur-Sleep where their disorder can become a better experience through aroma therapy. They're encourage to write down these website names to bring them home and use. Lastly, their is a small area where people can get one on one counseling on how to deal with their bed partner on bringing this new device into the bedroom.
They also find that there is company called DME, LLC that is working VERY enthusiastically to shut the inn down and in its place build an office called Crapia Corporation. This is a place where no one is happy: NEVER get what they want, bricks are distributed like free apples, no one is notified of how their treatment is going, none of the customer service folks check on their clients to see how they're doing or could care less on how their treatment is going. And sadly, they always seem to appear like the folks that enter "The Room to Never Never Land"

The back room reminds me of where Seven of Nine (Star Trek-Voyager)
spent her off-hours, hooked up to the plasma disc,
being invigorated.
Resistance is futile; I have been assimilated.
OK, now you KNOW I'm a geek.

Theory?
This is not a "theory".
This is a "principle".

Probably just a "know nothing" having some fun with this thread.
But, on the other hand, it's "nothing to sneeze at".

Speaking of nothing else better to do....
Has anyone ever noticed that the sexy looking girl on the Zeo website has a tanned chest and neck, but is white elsewhere? Maybe the Zeo boys have a sense of humor. (and photoshop)

Well, I do know that phrase was used by the Sgt. Schultz character in the "Hogan's Heroes" TV series.
From the Internet Movie Database for Hogan's Heroes and memorable quotes:
Schultz: I see NOTHING! I know NOTHING!
