I got my ResMed S9 Autoset at the end of August and have been using it for a week. Super quiet and ease-to-use machine. It's a far cry from my previous PR Series M base model machine. I am very happy about it.
I just downloaded SleepHead and imported the data. The reports showed that the time was off by 3 hours (early). Obviously, my DME did not set it correctly to the Eastern time zone. So I went into the machine by using clinician set-up (thanks to the board members here and in another apnea board for making public the "secret" of DMEs). I did this after midnight yesterday. It allowed me to change the time forward but the date had to advance by one day. When I changed the date back to the correct day, it gave me the error message: "Invalid date/time, data exists for this period". I did not use the S9 on Tuesday, hoping that I would be able to set the correct date by not feeding the machine with Sep 4/Sep5 data.
This morning I check the machine date and time. It was "6/Sep/2012, 11:40" when the correct date and time should be 5/Sep/2012 11:40. I tried to change the date back to Sep 5, but it gave the the above invalid date/time message although I did not use the machine on Tuesday night (Sep 4/Sep 5). Right now I have to keep the date as Sep 6.
I read a no. of posts from here and another board. Some said that you have to erase the data in order to change date/time. I could find answers relevant to my situation. Please help.

Re: How to change Date/Time on Resmed S9 Autoset
The same thing happened to me. The only solution was to erase all data, which I couldn't do while I was still responsible for compliance data. Once my 10 months of compliance reporting was up, I erased the data and was able to reset date and time.
I just had to live with the date being 1 day off for several months.

Yeah, even though you didn't use the machine for one night there is still data showing "no use" within the files and it won't let you go backwards because of that "data".
If you don't have to satisfy any DME or insurance requirements just erase things and start over.
If you do have to satisfy DME or insurance requirements you might call the DME and tell them what happened and see if losing a weeks worth of nights will hurt anything. You could even give them a download prior to a reset and then they could add the 2 together.
Your software will still hold the past weeks worth of data. That won't be changed.

Pugsy - you are right. Even though there is no data for the day because I didn't use it, it won't allow me to adjust the date back one day.Pugsy wrote:Yeah, even though you didn't use the machine for one night there is still data showing "no use" within the files and it won't let you go backwards because of that "data".

I don't have to satisfy my insurance company for compliance or my DME. My insurance is with BCBS -HMO Blue New England. Anyway, I have just used it for 1 week. So I erased the data this afternoon. Viola, it let me set the correct date and time. I already imported the data to Sleepyhead the day before.
When I took delivery of the S9, I made an appointment with my DME to let them upload my data for analysis in two months' time. My S9 has been set to straight CPAP because my new prescription didn't specify the pressure and my DME followed the pressure setting of my old CPAP from my 10-years old prescription. I wanted to use the autoset mode on my new S9. My DME said they would look at the data for me so that I could ask my doctor to issue a new prescription on the pressure setting.
I know how to get into the clinician menu and change the pressure. But I don't want to do this now because I have been fine with the current pressure setting. Right now I am trying to learn more on how to interpret the Sleepyhead reports. Could somebody point me to that direction?

We really don't have a SleepyHead 101 instruction guide because there are just so many variables in norms.Evergreen wrote:Right now I am trying to learn more on how to interpret the Sleepyhead reports. Could somebody point me to that direction?
I have some links in my signature line that might help you..the glossary of terms for one and I have a sort of tutorial thread. Take a look at both and then you will probably have some questions cleared up...then come back here and ask for clarification on the things that you need some help understanding.
