I went full science experiment mode on this thing. I've loosened it up about 14 inch on each strap the last few nights, so far it still leaks like crazy. I think it's just not fitting right. Even though I have the small, it's still too big. I'll make a call here in an hour when they open and see if I can pop in and pick up another mask today to try out. I love the 360 swivel on this, but the rest just isn't working for me. As far as I can tell, the chin strap doesn't do jack. Well, except to make my claustrophobia kick into high gear and be uncomfy.

Shawn, that mask doesn't look comfy period. I have yet to try a mask that completely covers my nose or nose and mouth. I have a bad feeling that's where I'm headed though. *shudders* I bet those masks and face fuzz are a total pain in the ass. Boo.

You get bonus points and an instant friend add. *fist bump* I can make my tube do that on my Opus 360 mask, but I couldn't tolerate it. I just let mine hang. This is the only mask I've tried so far. The home health lady gave it to with the CPAP. I'm calling her today to ask about the Swift FX and the Pillario (sp?). Thanks for posting!!

Mr President (another awesome name), This is the first mask I've seen like this! OMG that would be awesome if it was grey, you could make it look like an elephant! LOL That looks a lot more comfy than many of the things I've seen on here. Cool!!! Another friend add. YAY!

I didn't just route the tube upward, I added a hard plastic downtube that is anchored tightly at the forehead for stability. The lower straps are loose, ala the panty hose fix, all allowing the 360 swivel to move under my nose for a self-correcting seal. I can't find anything off the shelf that works as well.

When I first saw this thread I thought it was going to be a huge waste of site bandwidth. I gotta admit tho its pretty interesting. If you squint your eyes a bit, a lot of this photos look like outtakes from the first Star Wars movie!

Great thread Angela!! Love these photos! I don't even have my prescription or gear yet (waiting on doctors office) , but I'm already anxious about getting set up and sleeping with it. This helps a lot to see what others are doing. Glad to see the dog cuddling. I am worried my cat won't want to cuddle with me with all the gear. Hoping the husband will adapt ok too. At least he's not afraid of strange noises like the cat!

I hate stuff on my face and had such a horrible time at my sleep studies. I have had three because the stupid place screwed up the first one - computers messed up supposedly- and I had to redo it. Than had to do the titration. The mask they used for it was horrible and pokey into my forehead and nose. It hurt so bad I question how good the results will be because I kept waking up in such pain.

Sir Noddinoff, I'm glad to hear I'm not a complete waste of space! LOL *wink* Eh, I figured if I couldn't show myself with this thing on to a lot of folks that wear one too, how would I ever do it to my boyfriend? I'm new to the CPAP world, so I'm just trying to adjust. Besides, it's neat seeing the contraptions everybody has. It's hard to know what masks to try just by plastic mannequin heads modeling them.

Badbreath, rock on with your bad self! I'm glad you found something that is comfy for you and works great. Necessity is the mother of invention, yes?

YogaKitty, trust me when I say I understand. Childhood abuse and things around my face wig me out. Long story. That and I'm newly single and dating again. It's hard enough finding someone that wants you when you're 41, much less with all this. Women have that added ego blow. Men just don't understand it. I feel like I've lost part of who I am.

PS- YogaKitty, I have had two sleep studies. I didn't go to the second night of either one of them because I just couldn't stand it. The testing was hard enough. Check out the machine on my profile. It auto adjusts with every single breath so the 2nd night of sleep studies wasn't needed. All you have to do is find a mask that fits you well and Viola!! Good luck little lady! (I'm heading into my 3rd week of CPAP life. So I'm not much ahead of you.)

I had a Glock 19 but prefer revolvers ... Still got a Colt 45 Auto though ...

The reason for the bigger mask is to cover my big mouth ... So when I open it, no air leaked out!

Hey AbbyNormal. I don't think it comes in grey actually. But it does come in....are you ready....Camo. How cool is that? I only mention it because in your avatar you are sporting some nifty camo shorts. And I know for you gals it's all about matching up your outfits!

I am starting my thrid week. I ordered this mask at the end of my first week because I just didn't think I could do it. I tried a nose mask and a nasal pillows. I was ready to give up. This thing is awesome. It is 100% cloth. Comfortable, quiet, you can lay on your side, wear glasses over it, wash it in the sink or even the washing machine. I can't imagine using aything else. If you order one you have 30 days to try it and if it doesn't work for you send it back for a full refund. In the interest of full disclosure I have not tried too many other mask, but at this time I don't intend to.

I have a SW9VE, 16 round mag, I think similar, but prefer carrying my Ruger LCP .380... essentially a 9mm w/o enough powder Very small, fits in my old blackberry cell phone holster or most any pocket and with Hydra-Shok JHPs will do what I need it to.
