I think that picture was from a promo ad for cpap pillow??? Don't remember for sure.
It's not me. I did notice that the face looks a lot better than the neck. It really seems odd to photshop that particular picture that way, but maybe it's a DME who doesn't know how to put the mask on right side up and is so used to lying that they photoshop photos that don't need it just on general principles.

I think it was from someone selling CPAP pillows somewhere. Someone else posted a link to it a long time ago.

"This pillow is so great, it makes CPAP work, even if you put the mask on upside down. It also makes everything resting on the pillow look 20 years younger."

Well then... I'm certainly glad I waited to tell you how young I thought you looked.

Have I told you lately that you guys are all awesome?? Cuz you're flippin' awesome!! Okay, my day has been umpteen shades of crazy so I haven't been here. Fess up, you missed me... right? RIGHT??? Guess who has two thumbs and met one of the actual CPAP folks on here today? THIS GIRL!!! You'll be jelly, but... Yuppers, I got the chance to meet FarmGirl in the flesh! I even bought her extra Swift FX for $20! Sooooo, guess who will have to post yet another CPAP photo later??? ME!!! Sick of my stupid face yet??

Let me try to answer everybody from today. If I pass over you, shout at me, m'kay? Laura, you rock! I'm SO glad you were able to find one that works for you! I had never thought of some of those points and if I ever get past the, "I am going to claw my face off if I don't get this #@!!$$%^&&*&^%$#@@ thing off NOW" feeling. I guess I better get there before cold and flu season hit again. I hear you pretty much have to have a full face one during those times. :'( I do believe I might need to start taking extra doses of Vitamin C to be sure I don't catch a cold this year. Oh, and no swapping spit. *cough cough*

Sir NoddinOff, That just made my day. I needed that. I have been looking for a job since February when the design studio I worked for went belly up. I don't know Microsoft Office so I can't get a secretarial job, I let my nurses aide license lapse so I can't work at a hospital or nursing home... I can't even seem to get a job in retail because I'm overqualified. So.... I'm just S.O.L. I guess. If I could afford yet more time to not have income coming in, that might be an option but sadly it's not. Meh. Life is hard and then you die I suppose. But anyhoo, that totally made me smile. YAYcakes!!

Catnapper, Honeychild, I do believe you stole the show! O_O *jaw drops* Hubba hubba!! Girls of CPAP, yuppers, I think you are well on your way! Bully for you and BRAVO!!! *wolf whistle*

Archangle, You crack me up dude!! I'm still loving the gas mask picture! I do however believe you owe me a piccy of the real you!! Come on Mr Wizard, don't leave a girl hanging! *taps foot impatiently*

Pugsy, I love your ink!! I totally know what you mean about a tattoo finding you. Same here. Like I said, I drew mine or my tattoo artist did. At least I know that nobody else will ever have what I have! I think yours and Kody's is the same. YAY!

Tino, I'm so glad you're enjoying the pictures and posts! I am too!! What a fun way to learn and to also make buddies in the process. You have to laugh or cry, I'd rather try and laugh at all this if I can. It's not working yet, but I'm trying. I'm glad you're one of the brave that mugged for the camera for me! My hero!!

Okay gang, this girl is going to wash the mask that FarmGirl sold me and clean house for a bit. I'll post another picture at bedtime wearing the new mask! This is the first night I'm kinda' excited about wearing a mask!! *does happy dance* Also, if you get the chance to meet up with FarmGirl in the flesh, DO IT!! That's a direct order from the AbbyNormal girl!! I wuvs you bums!! <3

And since it works so well for me, I just don't understand why it isn't the mask of choice for everyone!
MrPresident, just let me warn you not to get into this with pugsy! He has many reasons why not to wear this wonderful mask! I have been properly chastised, and now I understand that some people cannot tolerate anything around their nose or a strap that fits the way that the SleepWeaver straps fit. That said, I believe there is no comparison with a cloth mask and a hard plastic mask and I have the battle scars on the bridge of my nose to prove it! I just ordered the Elan to see how that works. There are some ladies who feel that the headgear on the Advance messes up their hairstyle (no arguing this!) and so I feel obligated to test out the Elan since they also have a 30-day free return offer. I ordered my Elan a few days ago and will be returning my Advance in a couple of days just within my 30 days so I can compare them. So then I'll either return the Elan and order a new Advance, or keep the Elan. And the good news is, they are working on a full-face version of the DreamWeaver so hopefully I will not have to put up with a plastic mask of any kind in any circumstance!

A) I really would like to try a cloth mask when I can afford to buy one just to see if I can tolerate it. I'm one of those with a hard time with anything covering the nose completely. I admit that it sounds less frightening than a plastic mask though. The fact he said he can scratch his nose through it sounds awesome!!
B) Pugsy is a chick. A hardcore, awesome chick with a wicked black widow spider tattoo. <3
C) I'm too tired after answering emails and threads to post a picture in this newest mask tonight. I did get it all cleaned up and dried out and I have it on as I sit here typing. It's very promising so far and MUCH more comfortable... *crosses fingers* (Swift FX I bought from FarmGirl today) I'll post a picture for you bums tomorrow instead. Pinky promise.

Keep the pictures coming gang!! Archangle, I'm looking right at you dude!! O_O

As much as I like my Swift FX (yes it was the second mask I tried, the Comfort Blue I got to keep from my sleep study has three days it. It leaks, hurts and farts on my face...'nough said) I really want a FFM as an alternative for those stuffy nights ahead.

Cheryl, any idea when the FF Dreanweaver will be released? You got inside skinnys?

Here I'm posing with my Swift LT and taping job (only way I've found to stop the mouth leaks, full face masks don't fit ).

Why not? Well, when you reach a certain level, there's just no way to make it worse.

Thoughtful.. masculine.. ridiculous - anything might apply!

Okay, I finally took a couple pics. I actually got myself in trouble last night as I planned to take the pic, and then get back to the computer to post it. My cute kitty joined me, and after taking the pics, I fell asleep, without my mask on. I only put it on for the pics, so I had not actually fitted it perfectly or gotten ready for bed. So, I woke up 5 hours later and realized my mistake. And I have been coughing for almost 2 weeks now, so I have already been having a tough time sleeping in general and keeping the mask on all night.

I have the Quattro FX which I really like. I am definitely a mouth breather, so I had to go with a full face. I really like not having the forehead thing to deal with. Teh mask looks larger than it feels. I was actually surprised at how large it looks in the photos. It doesn't feel that large at all. I also like how easy it comes off in a hurry. Just hit the two quick release buckles and off it comes. Now that I have the small size headgear, I rarely have to adjust the straps. I was really messing with the straps on the medium headgear, several times a night.

I have no problems sleeping on my side. I actually do that almost exclusively now. And I have no problems with the mask and my pillows.

As you can see, my kitty has no problem with my mask at all. On rare occasions, I have blown air on her, but normally the exhaust is up above her, so no big deal. She was still in the same place when I woke up 5 hours later. Sometimes, my hose goes across the top of her, and sometimes I wake up, and the hose is under her. She's less than 8 lbs, so it doesn't affect my airflow. It just makes it a little harder for me to get up to go to the bathroom. The rule is, do not disturb the kitty

As much as I would love my other cat to sleep up closer to me (he rarely sleeps close enough for me to reach him), I can see where he would be a problem. Once, he was in range, and he thought the hose was a kicker toy. Um, NO!!!! And if he were ever to sit on it, I would definitely notice a loss of pressure. He weighs 18 lbs.

I really do like the Sleepweaver BUT I am having a lot of leaks. Not around the mask but through my mouth. I keep getting woken up by 747 landing on my tounge (or so it seems). I don't have problems with the mask leaking, just my pie hole. Sounds like Elan and Advance are cloth mask too? A full face cloth would be awesome. I will google Elan and Advance. BTW is "DreamWeaver" and "SleepWeaver" the same or is Dreamweaver different cloth mask?

Didn't mean it as chastising. Just education on why some masks don't/won't work for everyone and I felt that I was specifically challenged to try the SleepWeaver. So I just explained why I don't want to. When others make general comments like MrPresident did then I see no need to say anything. Now if he tried to talk me personally into to trying it...then he would get my sermon. If you want to express your enthusiasm about the mask and make a general comment that you feel like everyone should at least try it...I won't say a thing about it.

We all have a tendency to think that since so and so mask works so great for us then it surely must work great for everyone and don't understand why someone won't try it or why they have problems with it. I do the same thing with the nasal pillow mask that I use. When someone says that they can't stand ALL that pressure going up their nose (and they say their pressure is 7 cm) I sit here and chuckle and roll my eyes a bit but I know that there are reasons why I wouldn't do well with another type of mask and my reasons are valid to me so I respect that someone else's reasons are valid reasons for them. Doesn't matter if they are valid reasons for me. They are the one's that have to wear so and so mask and their reasons are the most important reasons.

Honestly, I've thought about mouthtaping when I've used my pillow masks (I did last night). However, one thing that gives me the heebeejeebees is what if I wake up in the middle of the night and suddenly have the need to sneeze and that has happened before.
@Zney - That tape must leave one hell of a red mark on your face if you've ever had to take off immediately
