For me it isn't just the mask, it's the amount of straps that go around my head and how easily they come off again. The one I picked up today they are on with velcro and it's difficult to get it off quickly which seems to be part of the freak out factor for me. I'm glad you posted the picture!! Bravo!!!
Mr President, You're a hoot and a holler!! Congrats on the new machine! This is the only one I've ever had, but it's a good one... you'll like it! It's super easy to learn. Good luck on your new mask! Can't wait to hear how it goes! YAY!!!!
Keep the pictures coming gang!
Abby,
They had originally given me 3 masks to try. The one you stuff up your nostrils, the nasal mask, and the full face. The nasal one i couldn't stand the air blowing in and out of my nose. It felt like my nostrils were expanding lol. The nasal mask was okay until i realized breathing in and out of my mouth which i do was making me feel like my throat was closing, that lovely tunnel effect. The 3rd one was the full face. I liked this one because it is easy to get on & off well it will take me some time to get used to. I liked there was only 2 buckles on each side and you unbuckle them and your good to go.. just pull it off over your head. The biggest thing for me though was the fact i could still see like the T.V. and i could breath out of my mouth and nose which is a biggie for me. Overall these were my reasons for choosing the full mask. The straps are comfy too i could barely feel them. Only thing that drove me nuts was the actually front part of the mask indented my face but i think that is because the tech had it on snug that 1st night so it wouldn't fall off. It is adjustable though. I also have to figure out what to do with my hair so strands dont blow in my face from being stuck in the mask like they did the 1st night. I won't have my equipment for at least another week and a half. Last night i fell asleep at like 3am woke up at 2pm i kid you not and i feel like i got no sleep i am so looking forward to feeling rested again.. never thought i would say this since i was in denial for so many years now about the fact that i knew i would have to wear a mask. Anyway sorry for ranting

Abby: Seems a waste to use your obvious people skills and cheerleading ability to sell stuff in a parking lot or stand behind a cosmetics counter (not that there's anything wrong with those things). My niece, who's about your age and shares some of your personality traits, walked into a huge radio station in LA a decade ago and offered to 'intern free' for a few weeks. She suggested she could go all around LA and set up the radio station's promotional table at various events such as sports stadiums, mall openings, rock band promotions etc. She devised games, give-aways, interviews - she did such a great job she managed to reel in a permanent position paying very good money, plus she got to meet Axel Rose, Motley Crue, Bono, plus a slew of others. Just an idea.

OK, it's an old one, but I just have to post this one again.
Someone needs to make a "women of CPAP" calendar. Supermodels sleeping with CPAP masks and sexy lingerie.
You could also have a Chippendale's version.
Maybe a hard core version wearing nothing but the mask.

The mask is fine. She just has her face upside down. At least, that's what her DME said.

I'm so glad that I was not the only one distracted by this.

I have always thought that image was photo shopped some how. She sure has ugly hands and neck to go along with that pretty face. The skin doesn't match. That was the first thing I noticed when I saw this picture. It took me a bit to realize that the mask was upside down but I spotted her wrinkly neck in a split second.
I think that picture was from a promo ad for cpap pillow??? Don't remember for sure.

Oh man, you mean that's not really archangle?

Rather than "full face masks", we now have "full chin masks" - for when you really need the extra support.

Now for the big question... why a spider?
So it had nothing to do with black widows or dislike for previous husband or anything like that.
Okay... now you've ruined my entire day. I was so sure it had to do with an X husband!

I think archangle is having a go at us.
Case in point: I wonder how many of you think you're reading"archangel" when you see his login. Look again! Archangle is not the same as Archangel (tip, a math term vs old testament Michael). Prankster alert. Another tip involving some 70's esoterica context: The Medium is the Massage, by Marshall McLuhan - (no I didn't misspell it; look it up).
Mask upside down? Maybe he just tossed and turned so much it reversed itself?!? Seriously.
