Sometimes you can only deal with them using your feet. Leaving is the socially acceptable way; and won't get you in trouble.
(Frequently, I just want to kick them in the 'brain', --and it's easier to reach, considering where they keep their heads)

What brain? I thought they were pre-zombie status.

Careful, there isn't an ICD-10 or HCPCS code for Rectal-Cranial extraction, so it'd be out-of-pocket.

Just a follow up ...

Today I got an email from the DME that tried to give me the "upcharge" ... With a link to a post patient survey on how they served me ...

So ... I filled it out the best I could, then left them a VERY detailed message in there comment section at the end!

On a different note:

All DME's are not bad ...

My new DME seems to be a lot more understanding ... Since the mask I got is not working, but because of my job it will be 7 weeks till I get back ... They are going to trade me mask cushions for my Mirage Quattro, as I can make that work. The TrueBlue nasal mask was eating up my nose! (they can't swap the mask out, as it is WAY past the 30 days)

Yeah, I'm surprised they let it slip through ...

I was much more polite than I would have three months ago!

After reading your woes, I had to add my 2 cent's worth!

Even though my DME told me that I could have a PR 460 (data capable) rather than a compliance only machine 260 (brick), the person who was to deliver it yesterday called earlier in the day to confirm my appt. but proceeded to say that she didn't have the 460 with her. She would have to order it!

Now, why in the heck didn't she do that last week, instead of calling me to tell me (oh so late) that she couldn't bring it??? Damn! Now, I have to wait a whole week to start treatment! If this was her treatment and I dropped the ball like that, would she be so nice as to not yell and scream at her? I held me tongue and even was civil with her. Argh!!!

Even when you think things will finally go right, the other shoe drops.... #$%^&*

I have to hand it to my wife... she even was upset about it. I think she is tired of her husband of thirty-three years being an airhead, like I have for the last year or so. LOL!

Anyway, I think the trouble with DME's is that they can't put themselves in our shoes. It's just not that important, until you have OSA yourself!

Good luck and thanks for listening,
Phil

They want you good and desperate so the 'bait and switch' works.

Avoid abuse or profanity--they may want the excuse to get rid of an expensive, picky patient.
Politely going over their head, insurance, or your doctor, may grease the wheels a little.
In the meantime, feel free to lay a guilt trip on her.
Find a really big, heavy GUILT worthy of this situation.

I know one thing they could get: a few bad reviews on healthgrades.com!
Hey, maybe a few other folks could chip in together and get them a big one

Diver,

Unfortunately they only list Dr's, Dentists, and hospitals ... No DME's!
