Per Dori's request.
Okay, this is the best example I could find on short notice and I am short on time but it shows what I was talking about.

This image here shows sort of a group of events the last hour or so. I don't know if I was awake or not and it doesn't matter for the purpose of this example and the number of events isn't all that significant in this instance. Using it to show the functionality of click and drag to omit sections of SH report to alter the AHI.

This is what shows initially on the report. AHI 2.65 and it is obvious that the bulk of the events occurred the last hour or so.

And this is what it shows when I click and drag on the flow line to select only the time line of the night up to the point that the grouping of events occurred. By omitting that last hour or so...my AHI dropped to 0.95.

Images are large so right click mouse over the image and choose "view image" to see the time ending at 7:30 AM if you can't see it initially.. Reports end around 7:30 AM.

I wonder if the spikes correspond with glucose levels right before awakening.
There could be system-wide involvement here.

Highlight only the time in between and on the AHI graph...the AHI will change to just figure that time frame. It is the AHI number that is right above the AHI graph. Have you seen it? If you don't understand what I am talking about just let me know and I will try to get some screen shots.
I don't have a number at that place on my daily view - just on my overview.
It would be nice to see what it is with that time discounted.
I have a lot of CAs the last hour or so before I turn the machine off. During that period I am sort of dozing. (I am retired and have no set time to get up).

BTW I have been relying on the updater to keep my Sleepyhead software current. Since you indicated you see a number I don't, I went on line and found my version was way out of date. I had 0.8.8 and the latest is 0.9.1. If anyone out there hasn't gone to the Soundforge site and verified that you have the latest version you might want to do so.

I downloaded the latest version and although I still don't see the AHI number you described, but this version is a huge improvement. I was finally able to import my oxiometer data.

Also the new statistics view is going to save me a bunch of time. Last September my sleep doctor prescribed an AUTO CPAP machine for me on the condition I would supply him with data with AUTO enabled and with just CPAP enabled. We are back in CO after wintering in AZ and I need to get the data in shape to give to him in July.
I have done some experimentation with AUTO minimums and maximums as well as with and without AUTO and the statistics page has the info all presented in a very logical easily comprehended format.

As a programmer myself* I am really impressed with Mark's programming ability and his ability to present information.

* Actually I am a retired electrical engineer but I have written enough programs in five computer languages over the last 40 years to call myself a programmer albeit not in Mark's class.

I read this and thought hmmm.. out of date version...you fixed that...then I thought hmm...I see you are using a PR S1 machine...I am using Resmed S9...wonder if that is the culprit. I opened up SH and went back to when I was using a PR S1 machine and yep...just like you I don't have any numbers where I have them with the S9 reports.

I can't explain why not. I am sorry. I never noticed it before because I normally don't pay any attention to those numbers anyway. Must be something in the PR S1 data that doesn't offer that particular way of picking up the data.
So my idea of eliminating a section of time and altering the AHI doesn't appear possible for the Respironics people unless another Respironics user does have those numbers and we can figure out why I don't have them and you don't have them on our Respironics reports.

So Dori...so sorry but if Mike is using the PR S1...you won't be able to do what I did unless you have the numbers in the area that I circled. Darn it.

On my sleep study I was in REM sleep right before they woke me up. Could that have something to do with it?
