I was just upgraded to a 60 series machine and Sleepyhead will no longer read my data. Would anyone please send me info on Encore Basic? Thanks

Like many others, I am also a new user and on my third night on a 60 series. My pressure is set at 9 with an AHI of 9.1, this software would be very helpful in assisting where things are going wrong.

Check your PM box please.

Also....everyone who has not added their equipment to their profile....please do so.
We don't know what machine you are using and not all the 60 series machines gather full data. Better to find out now than later.

Hi All,

I'm trying to install Encore Basic on my Win 7 64 bit machine and the installer is giving the error "Error1920.Service Smart Card", something about not being able to start it. Clicking on the "Retry" button provided doesn't help.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've tried running the installer using compatibility Windows XP mode but that didn't help.

After seven years of failed CPAP therapy, I finally upgraded to a machine with a computer. My sleep test last week week said I was doing OK with CPAP, but my new machines recorded me with a 1 day AHI of 18 two nights ago and 28 last night. I was awake several hour (insomniac) which may mess up results. Any suggestions on which software would be best for my new machine = Restar Pro c-flex+ system one? I think Encore Basic can show if my AHI decreased in the middle of the night, but not completely sure. Any advice on which software and where I can get it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Your machine is listed in the profile equipment page.
2 choices....look on the bottom of the blower machine for a silver sticker with a 3 digit number usually preceded by either DS or REF.
The PR System Remstar Pro CPAP with CFlex is model number 450 and you can use SleepyHead software with it and it really is all you need. I have links for SleepyHead in my signature line. Be sure to read the user guide and the glossary as it will help you with the install and understanding what you see.

Now if you see a model 460 on that sticker then your machine is a 60 series machine and SleepyHead won't work with it just yet. Send me a private message and I will point you to Encore software that works

You can also look at the link in my signature like for PR S1 software options and see examples of both software daily detailed reports.

If you have a Mac computer SleepyHead has a Mac version.
Encore is strictly Windows based software and if you have a Mac you have to set up a virtual Windows for it.
EncoreBasic works with either the 450 or 460 model machine.

I got this fixed. Installed on my laptop and it installed ok. Then went back to my Desktop. Found the "Smartcard Service" was turned off. Switching it to auto allowed the installation to proceed with no problem.

I had the same problem. This error usually means the windows smart card service is disabled. Click on the start button (task bar bottom left, Windows symbol). In the search box type services.msc
Click on "services" that shows up in the list. Scroll down until you see the smart card service. The service status should show "started". If not make sure the drop down box for the startup type is set to "automatic" then click "start". Click "apply" then "ok". Exit out reboot and try to install it again. Let me know if this works or you need more information.

Hello everyone!

This is my first post, as I'm new to CPAP therapy. A big thank you to all who post here, as your insights have really helped.

I'm looking for software for my machine too (a REMstar Auto A-Flex, model 560P). SleepyHead doesn't work. I managed to find Encore Pro 2.2, but after reading some posts, I think this may not work for my machine. Am I wrong? I haven't installed 2.2 yet, since I'd rather not install SQL server if the software won't work.

Can I please get a link to either Encore Basic or Encore Pro 2.8 (or latest version)? I'm a science teacher by profession, and really would like more information than what the LCD panel on my machine is telling me.

Thanks in advance!

Check your private message box please.

There are actually 2 models of your machine. Look on the bottom of your machine for model number.
PR System One Auto Cpap machine with AFlex...model 550...works with SleepyHead
and the PR System One 60 Series Auto CPAP machine with AFlex...model 560 won't work with SleepyHead.

If you have the heated hose 60 series machine you have chosen the wrong machine in your profile. Go look for the same thing with 60 in the model name.
