Be careful and don't get burned out.

.
Thanks Den. I back off a bit when I start feeling burned. I have come to recognize the signs and symptoms.
For any of you who don't know my history....Den and Ozij are the ones who helped me get my own therapy pressures sorted out way back when I started therapy and my reports were awful because my pressure wasn't quite optimal.
Den was my ever-patient mentor when we first started and we would have given up pretty quickly if not for him. I've let him off the hook lately and given Pugsy the "pleasure"' but I know he'll always be there for me and any others who need his help. I miss Ozij too!

Late coming to this post, due to a sick heavy work week - but Pugsy, THANK YOU!
You introduced data to me - and have always been gracious and very kind with me. You are someone I look up to and I so appreciate!!
Thank you for caring about us. Thank you for giving those of us who are not really newbie any more but not very experienced, either (like me) a great example of how to help others.
I hope to meet you one day and share a cup of coffee - thank you for YOU. And thank God for YOU. I see you as one of His wonders.

I agree 100 percent. I had all but given up on my BiPap and she was so helpful and supportive. I am actually doing really great with it now and I feel so much better since she helped me interpret my data.
Thanks!

I have Pugsy to thank for enabling me to obtain the Tap Pap mask along with the swift FX and Aloha masks too. So I now have 3 new masks to trial, which would have taken months, most likely years, to get to trial through the health system here in NZ. I read somewhere where over 80% of new CPAP users give it away - I think this would be mostly because of a lack of support, and losing patience or hope of finding the right equipment (particularly mask). I wonder how many of us members have found this support from this forum and members like Pugsy - when without it they would have given the whole thing away as a nightmare. So directly or indirectly Pugsy, and other active forum members are helping save the lives and the health of those that find their way to this forum. I think it would be a really good thing (if not their duty) for Drs, Sleep Technicians, DMEs and other sleep related professionals to point all newly diagnosed OSA sufferers to this or another OSA forum (although I do think this one is the best I have found) rather than seeing it as a threat to their livelihood (possibly some - the good ones - already do this).
Thank you Pugsy.

Brand new to CPAP (April 4) and stumbled across this forum looking for more info. I have a medical/biology background and a huge thirst for knowledge. Thanks to Pugsy and so many other posters here for all the wonderful and selfless sharing of info! I spent a lot of this past weekend absorbing the information and getting Sleepy Head installed.
I guess I am lucky in that my DME who is a RN/RT is also a long time CPAP user. He is the polar opposite of the "hand you a box and send you home to figure it out yourself" type of DME. But even the most dedicated DME can't be there all the time when questions pop up whereas the knowledge base built in this forum can be there 24x7.
I'm still trying to get over this new feeling of being awake and having energy. Wow! Wish I had done this 10 years ago.
Thank you!
Kevin

Put me down as another who has benefited enormously from Pugsy's advice -- and as Pugsy says, from the efforts of many people in this community. I'm one of those who wandered in, got help, wandered out. Dropped by because I might need more help soon! And saw this thread. To all of you, my deepest gratitude.

I have been away for the past 10 days and, after seeing all these accolades, felt that I had to chime in.

And you, Pugsy, have enhanced our lives as well in ways you have no idea what it means to us! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!
