Please PM me if you figure out how to do that in a way that the Ruby can still be washed at least weekly. This chinstrap leaves marks on my son's beautiful, soft cheeks.

P.S. What happened to your home-made Chin-up strips?

The painters' tape peels off too easily with the copious amounts of drool I seem to produce.
If I can find J&J cloth tape in a 2" width, they ought to work a lot better--but the 3M blue is not working well enough.
I'm planning to use a Minky fleece remnant.
Whatever I come up with, I'll PM you so I'll know where to send the PDF.
Or, barring that, I could send you a piece of the fabric--I have quite a large piece.

I once covered a Ruby with fleece over the chin and onto the strap, and then realized I would never be able to get it off to wash! It also seemed to slide more. Some of the Ruby's efficacy seems to be tied to it's neoprene grip on the skin. Covering through the cheeks seems to compromise that. See what you think when you try it...

My thought: the Minky fleece is washable.
I tacked slightly wider pieces on the back side of the cheek straps of another headgear,
and nothing shifts because it's sewn together (primitively) --and it all washes together, too.
I have to re-do some of my tacks after a few washes, but no problem.
Not really sure that the neoprene is actually 'gripping' my skin, but my minky grips at least as well,
and does so softly.
I guess this would not be liners, per se', but a sewn-on lining.

I don't know what minky fleece is.

There is a question if to wear the chinstrap over the mask's straps or below. I wear the Respironics Premium over my nasal Resmed Mirage Softgel. But trying this chinstrap with the Swift XL pillows mask is a joke. The chinstrap dislodged the pillows in no time, in my case.
So I also am looking for another chinstrap. My problem is to undo the chinstrap when I go to pee twice or three times during the night.

Avi, why don't you save time and effort by not taking off your mask when you have to go to the washroom. I never have taken mine off, I just unhook my hose from my mask and go, that way I just go back to bed, hook up my hose and go back to sleep. Good luck.

Let me know what you come up with. I bought a Swift LT For Her, and it came with some felt/velcro covers for the headgear strps. I use them on the Ruby, and it eliminated the marks.

Minky fleece is the super-soft fleece-like microfiber pile used for bathrobes, among other things.
It has a knitted base and cut pile on both sides, usually one side longer than the other.
Moderate stretch is only in the crosswise grain. It is relatively resistant to edge fraying.
I think it feels like baby kittens. I love to sew soft things.

Thanks, but I need also to rinse my mouth and drink some water b/c of dry mouth. Besides, unhooking the hose end takes some maneuverings. Turning the hose does not go without lubrication. But peeling goes. Often, I am afraid of breaking the mask inlet before I get a spare. On the F&P #431 and #432 unhooking the air hose took apart the non rebreathing valve.

I disconnect the short hose from the long hose, and make sure the short hose is hooked under my PJs so that it doesn't hang down . For the drink, what about a container with a straw? Not sure how the rinsing would work, but maybe worth a try?
