I keep a bottle of water in my travel bag for when I'm on the road. Put what I need in the tank and take my nightly pills with what is left.

I travel fairly often. I use distilled if I am going to be away for more than one night. Most groceries and drug stores have it. I drink distilled as well, so whatever doesn't get used in the cpap gets consumed anyway. If it's only overnight, I use a bottle of Desani or Aquafina. Not distilled, but it is filtered.

I have a friend who, while traveling, used tap water for 3 days. He got a bad sinus infection (doc said it was caused by using the tap water) and it took him 3 months of antibiotics to clear it up. USE THE DISTILLED WATER!

I only used tap water when I ran out of distilled water and I didn't have any problems, other than the scaling. However, I'm not so sure about the tap water where I'm going. I may just buy a jug of distilled water when I get there. Thanks for all the responses!

Most of my trips are cruises and I always take distilled water with me. I just pour enough into a smaller bottle to take. Easier than lugging a gallon. I then put it into a large plastic ziploc just in case of leakage. Fits nicely into my carry on. Only once have I been questioned about it. I just told them it was distilled water for the c-pap and that was just fine with them.

I took my own water on cruises for years and even got a jug on a plane in my luggage as medical supply so the weight did not count, using the argument that I couldn't stop at a store on the way from the air terminal to the ship terminal, or the remote resort in Mexico. Then I found out you can order the water from the cruise line, just like you do any special need, and they will supply it. It makes life a lot easier. Travelling is tough enough on CPAP. Bon Voyage!

My DME suggested that I use bottled water that has some additional filtering (ie drinking water) when distilled is not available.
That said, the one business trip (2 nights) I have been on since I got my hose, I used tap water and had no issues.

I'm flying out to a conference on Sunday and I'm taking a small bottle filled with distilled water in my checked baggage to hold me until I can find some at my destination. I'm just not a tap water fan for anything except cooking...maybe!

For just a few nights, I would bring some distilled water in my PapFlask.
For more nights, especially if I will have a car, I buy a gallon of distilled water at my destination, in addition to bringing water.
Dave.

First time poster here!
I arrived at the beach for vacation last Saturday. Didn't take distilled water because the trunk was packed to capacity. After arriving I visited the local grocery store.
The person in front of me and behind me all had jugs of distilled water at the checkout for cpap. Literally everyone in line!

When they are out, and they do run out even at home, is the reason I bring mine with me.
