I have only traveled away from home a few times. Motels seem to almost always have wall-mounted lamps beside the bed which are perfect. I take a stretchy thin elastic head band (stolen from my teenager) and loop it over the arm of the lamp, and then route my hose through it. At my SIL's home, the bed had a big headboard with wood framing a wrought iron design--I just looped my headband through that and routed the hose.
I saw a YouTube video once of this guy that can hang his hose from anything, even a picture on the wall, using a bunch of rubber bands linked in a chain, so I always carry a bunch of linked rubber bands, just in case, when traveling.
