OK, you keep mentioning the pastries, so either you are (1) trying to make us jealous or (2) waiting for us to give you the 2x4 treatment so you will stop binging!
Unfortunately, while there's a plethora of people here who will ream you for even contemplating ever sleeping a wink without CPAP, there's a paucity of people here who will ream you for stuffing your face with food that will take months of deprivation to get off your hips. So... (rolling up sleeves)... KNOCK IT OFF! Yes, you're going through a very stressful time, but you paid good money to therapists to help you get to the bottom of your emotional eating, so use what you learned to get yourself back on track! It's not going to make you feel more in control of your life to witness yourself out of control in your eating.
Crap. I just can't get enthusiastic about this. My heart just isn't into this half-assed 2x4 approach. I have enough problems with guilt without feeling guilty for beating you up. As for me, I'm going to eat some celery or something because I have to look good in a bathing suit in 3 weeks.

This is the kind of "study" that scare people away from a low carb diet.

What a load of crap.

Thank you!
I am just cleaning the fridge.
At least these are real food. The bakery is proud of its all real ingredients.
I will be starting baking tomorrow. Then I can control the sugars and have lots of real fruit in them.
Next week I will join the seniors centre across the street and start working out.
The stress has actually reduced a lot now that I know where I am. The bad stress habits are still hanging on however.

Yep, association doesn't prove causation. Sloppy reporting like that is frequently used in order to gain publicity and can be used to serve as a pretext for their next research grant.
Tom Naughton does a wonderful job explaining why associative studies are not predictive:

Uuuugh I feel so much better now that i've gotten rid of most carbs. I did have a leftover subway sandwich for lunch b/c I ran out of other stuff that I usually eat. But once you get off the sugar, if you go back to it you REALLY see how badly it affects you!

That's a good observation. Once you've had the carbs out of your system for a few days you suddenly aren't hungry, you don't crave them and so long as you don't slip back into your old eating habits, you can do just fine eating Paleo/low carb.
With the time change, my schedule now allows me to get back into my walking regimen. Last two days I've walked 12 laps around the track at the local high school. 3 miles in a little less than an hour. I noticed how much better I sleep even though it's not a strenuous workout, and exercising seems to suppress my appetite. My feet are a little sore, but that will wear off.

Slarty get yourself a good pair shoes. I use these:

I figure I have around 1500 miles on them and they still feel good on my daily walk.

Geez, you buy 'spensive shoes. I usually just get what's on sale. I'm about through the bottom of my current pair, so I'll give them a look-see.
Thanks,

Your feet and shoes are like the foundation of your house. If they are crooked or weak it effects everything right up to the roof, especially if the building is a little older....

I know I will feel more comfortable at the lower weight Will my OSA improve ? Go ahead , inspire me !
Carbing up may work if you're a carb addict.
But once you've made the switch, you can run off healthy fats as easily (and longer) than carbs.
The Inuit sure don't live on pasta!

But I strongly miss being able to slap a sandwich together. It's so much more convenient and fast than soaking then cooking quinoa or staying on top of baking sweet potatoes (which I don't even particularly like).
That's why I make coconut flour buns in a Cuisinart muffin top pan. Stir them up, spread the batter in the buttered and parchmented pan, bake for 15 minutes, and I have six days of lunch or breakfast sandwiches.
I take one of these and split it, put a pair of fried eggs on it, and some cheese and bacon, and McDonald's can eat their heart out! I have better food than two of their McMuffins.
