Where Respironics has been slowest to respond is access to limited data via the LCD screen and it sounds like their engineers finally cleaned the wax outta their ears and the light bulb finally came on in their beady brains in that regard.

IF PR really has finally wised up and provided EASY ACCESS to as much nightly data as the Resmeds, given the rotating hose attachment I just may ending switching my allegiance and love to the PR PAPs!!!!! The ease of access to and amount of data issue is the thing that has earned and held my devotion to the Resmeds.
WOW Slinky that must have hurt?

Don't forget the M Series originally came with that handy little hose swivel which I think is still available at cpap.com

Snort. That M Series was a .... I wouldn't have touched one w/a 10 foot pole. It was a series of several mistakes by Respironics w/NO improvement I was aware of except size.

I'd wait until we get some actual user experience before going out of your way to replace your old working CPAP with a PRS1 with heated hose. Never buy version x.0 of anything. Let them get the kinks out first.

It looks like there's no upgrade path. You can't use the new humidifier/hose on an older PRS1 CPAP.

I wonder if they're snuck in any other gotchas with the "model 60."

That new dial knob interests me; I hate the current one with a passion! I wonder how hard it would be to switch out...maybe it just pops off.

I'd love to dig into that firmware and see what else may have changed.

I wonder if the data can be accessed by SleepyHead, older versions of Encore Viewer/Pro, if the clinicians menu is as easy to access, etc.

I'm new at this so this might be a stupid question! Is this the same as the Auto ASV Advanced? My doctor said that I might end up on a machine that can also be used like a ventilator. Thanks to all you folks! this has been a large learning curve.

No, the current only PR S1 "60" machine available is a regular APAP machine. This current new "60" model would be the equivalent to the PR S1 Remstar Auto CPAP with AFlex.

If they proceed with new "60" models like they have done in the past, then the last model to be phased in as "60" will likely be the Auto ASV machine because that particular high end model was just this past summer upgraded to the PR S1 line. I just imagine that those needing the ASV line of machines will have to wait quite some time before these machines are introduced in the "60" models.

Right now I expect that Respironics will phase in the basic CPAPs (Plus and Pro) first, then move to regular BiPap model line, then move to the ASV BiPap model line.
