I thought I had a new PR S1 white fine filter without the tab...can't find it. I was going to measure it to see just what the difference was but unless it turns up somewhere I am out of luck. The difference is really, really minimal. I have cut off the tabs for use in my PR S1 and I have left them on. I can't tell it makes any huge difference in fit either way. I won't be buying any for a while though. I got a stockpile off of EBay a while back. Bought 24 fine white filters for $11.99 and free shipping.

If you all want a laugh though...I was at DME last week getting a new mask. Got the usual "do you need anything else"...thought for a moment and I said "yeah, one of the gray foam filters" just for a spare.
$17.33 I don't remember if I ever bought one through DME so I don't know how much insurance will knock that down. Probably between $13 and $14. I pay 20% of whatever is allowed.

The white filters used to have a tab, but Respironics decided that there was a problem with the filters popping out with the tab and now they're made without tabs. (So I hear.) I've been snipping off the tab on my pollen filters. I haven't seen any of the new genuine Respironics filters without tabs. Apparently, there were a lot of the tabbed filters around. Has anyone gotten new untabbed filters in authentic Respironics packaging?
Yes I have some. Got them from Lincare in Grand Junction CO. Other than the tab they seem to be the same size. I put one on top of the other and can't see any difference.
