pong!
Mark, I'm sorry to hear you're having such a rough time. We apnics are prone to depression. Are you doing anything to boost your serotonin levels? If not, Hypericum (St John's Wort) and either L-triptophan or 5HTP are good places to start. They have fewer side effects than synthetic SSRIs, and you can go off them without having to worry about withdrawal. Best of all, they don't cause homicidal mania.
When your head isn't right, it's hard to sort out the complexities of relationships and the world in general. But I've noticed that often you don't have to. We are wonderfully homeostatic creatures, and if you just let go of the wheel, you might find that you naturally wind up back on the road. I think this works because it was our addled efforts to improve things, and our worries, that caused the trouble in the first place. Stop trying to fix it, and it may stop breaking.
A zombie's salvation lies in the basics -- those deep truths that don't need to be understood to be followed. Love is one of those. Relax and trust in that, and maybe you'll stumble upon some clarity. FWIW, which honestly may not be much when you consider the source.
SleepyHead can wait. The remaining bugs are mere annoyances. If someone finds one that stops him from being able to use the program, he can always roll back to an earlier version for a while. I checked my data every day for almost six months with 0.8.4, and that geriatric alpha worked just fine even though there was some serious local PEBCAK. Of course I'm looking forward to 1.0.0 and beyond, but what we have now is very functional. And in any case, your family is more important. So are you.
Thanks for all you've done. May you and yours heal well.
